This is ridiculous. And track and field gives their officials too much power. Imagine if an NFL or NBA ref could negate all points scored in the last 10 minutes of play off a single infraction. That's essentially what we do in track. There are no minor penalties. It's dumb.

8 1/2 years ago my athletes bought me a @Garmin fenix. In 2017 it was my first garmin and what a watch! Thinking back athletes that I have coached with national open titles from the 800 to the marathon to juniors representing their country. A lot has happened wearing this watch.

A long long athletics season with his first race on Nov 1st. Throw in a few 8k cross country races and finishes off the season as u20 1500m champion. @athsstats @insideaths lets see what's next. I think national title #19???

Best thing about coaching is working with great young people. These 3 will be competing at U20 Australian 1500m champs.

A slow tactical race. A great result for Zoe in her first National 1500m final.

Every race has a story. Steph the full time lawyer makes her 3rd consecutive 1500m Nat final after only taking up the sport during covid. Zoe only started racing just 18 months ago after 4 years off to make her first championship final as a law student at #ANU

For the 3rd year in a row I will have an arhlete in the women's 1500m finals. Good run by Zoe M.

Its interesting how fitness can change in 1 year. Turning 59 has its challenges and foot surgery in June of 25 was successful. The dip due to broken rib and strained hamstring. Hope back to a few efforts next week.

Athletics Nationals soon. Session 2x200+1k threshold 3x1200 alternations +4x200. Should be interesting.

24 athletes of all abilities at training this morning. Session 3-4k sub threshold +5-6x300m hill at 1500m effort on 3min cycle + 3x100m. Zoe in the 3k at Maurie Plant meet next Saturday.

Women's 1500m will be interesting. Zoe and Steph in the race.
