@DetMotorCty Think we’re fundamentally evaluating the team differently. We can always look toward “we’ll see here is where they eat shit” but the advanced metrics say it. It’s not a question or a vibe or a feeling. The numbers are there over 32 games!

@Mazen_Hammoud We’ll see how they keep it going. Philly will be a big test right before the ASB. Like I said, there’s no doubt they are playing better but there are still glaring holes on this team that aren’t injury related. The pen hasn’t been tested because there have been less close games.

By your measure they can go like 10-3 and still not be great even tho they would be nearly .700 in two months. Statically they are a top team by almost every measure. Also the pen is doing its job, they aren’t designed to be “tested” by having starters go ass and come in early. Idgi it’s finding reasons to be unimpressed. By every measurable statistic the Tigers are a completely different team in June+ than they were before when racked by injuries. They have been digging themselves out of a whole. That’s how it works

@Mazen_Hammoud They are playing much better, no doubt. But I can’t call you a great baseball team when you are 8 games under .500 The other thing is the starters have been so good this month (minus Framber) that the pen hasn’t been tested as much. I still worry about the pen a lot.
