Thank you Jensen and NVIDIA! She’s a real beauty! I was told I’d be getting a secret gift, with a hint that it requires 20 amps. (So I knew it had to be good). She’ll make for a beautiful, spacious home for my Dobby the House Elf claw, among lots of other tinkering, thank you!!

@DaveShapi If white collar people don't have jobs and only time, won't they prefer to fix their own plumbing issues? I'm pretty sure AI can tell what needs to be fixed.
English

False. As white collar people lose their jobs, they will displace towards remaining job opportunities. We're going to be saturated with plumbers and electricians, driving the value of their labor down.
The Uber founder is a fucking idiot for saying this.
Polymarket@Polymarket
JUST IN: Uber founder says AI will make human labor far more valuable, predicts plumbers could become “like LeBron” in an automated world.

To anyone who is new to this platform and just lost all the confidence due to fomo as a dev that it's over.
Remember most of the post on this platform are engagement baits that too only for some payout.
They are just creating a bubble which does not exist out of this platform.
Learn to mute accs, words, etc.
Never fall for baits because it is not over as a software dev. Because if they said after 6 months we are gonna get replaced then why is anthropic still hiring swe?

@rutujax Normal friends: 'That’s cool, but while you’re here, can you look at my Wi-Fi? It’s doing that thing again.'
English

@growing_daniel As long as stakeholders still can't explain what they actually want in plain English, our jobs are perfectly safe. ☕️
English

@sickdotdev Still waiting for the AI that can explain to a stakeholder why 'just adding a button' takes three weeks.

My feed is 90% panic about AI replacing devs. Honestly? We might be underselling it.
This isn't just a new library, it’s a fundamental shift in how we build. For the first time, the tool isn't just executing logic, it is reasoning through it.
But history shows we’ve always been in the business of obsolescence:
1990s: Moving from shipping CD-ROMs to the Wild West of the Web.
2000s: Moving from desktop apps to "always-on" mobile ecosystems.
2010s: No more racking physical servers; we started treating infrastructure as code (Cloud).
2020s: Moving from writing every line of syntax to managing "Intelligence" at scale.
If you’re worried about "less work" for engineers, look up the Jevons Paradox.
The scale is bigger and the speed is faster, but the core job hasn't changed since 1995: Solve the problem, then master the next tool that solves it better.
We aren’t just upskilling; we’re redefining what "Senior Engineer" even means.
Same as it ever was.
Just my $0.02. 🥸
