@byte_thrasher Use TI-MSPM0C1104(ti.com/product/MSPM0C…) + Voltage Divider Sense Voltage Divider using ADC from MSPM0, then use I2C based or 1-wire based protocol to read from it... It's super small and few projects already use it as an emulated EEPROM

I want one of my PCBs to be able to report its revision number to the MCU. I can dedicate exactly one pin to this task. What is the cheapest and easiest way to do this? Let's assume 20 revs (lol). First idea that comes to mind is a simple voltage divider. Might be good enough

@b0jle I think you will get good BLE ICs with less than a dollar from known vendors like TI, Nordic Semi or Silabs.

Which frequency band is more commonly used for ExpressLRS—2.4 GHz or 915 MHz? Also, if I want to pick up a transmitter/receiver to put on a drone for testing, any recommendations?

@rohan_devarc I'm already using their Tang Nano boards with yosys toolchain so I was curious to see their Tang Mega series but Thanks for the heads up. I have Vaaman and BeagleV-Fire on my list, will try those

At this point, I cannot recommend Tang Mega boards. While they are marketed as Gowin FPGA evaluation boards, they come with nuances and bugs that require professional experience to resolve. After months of effort, I was only able to get them working by getting a license and fixing over 120 issues. As it stands, It's not worth the work you've to put for getting the eval board to work.

Finally got LiteX as well as UART working on Tang Primer 25K with Linux. Sipeed example repo is not helpful. Some examples don't work on the board. - Had to fix driver for FT2232 so usb/jtag multiplexing can work properly. - Firmware has many bugs wrt UART. It's producing literal garbage. - So I grabbed my Logic analyzer to take a deeper look and solved that firmware bug. - Finally, to build LiteX, I had to patch the riscv toolchain then build it. @GOWIN_SEMI Linux compatibility is something that needs immediate attention. Not everyone who starts out with fpgas will be an expert at fixing broken stuff.

🚀 🚀 Through tens of different revisions and prototypes, through iterations and failures, and under constant pressure to get them shipped, we are finally shipping Vaaman after almost two years of effort. We are shipping!

@zipcpu Is it because of i_ckstb? there is no check in that "if block" if the transaction is going on or it's just free running clock.

We haven't done a bug of the day in a while, so here is this week's embarrassment. After writing this, I convinced myself it was so simple that I could just move straight to hardware with it.

@sahajsarup Yeah, that seems an overkill for such applications, but I think most of the silicon labs radios have Cortex-M33 core while TI uses 8051 and Cortex M4 for their CC1352x series

@DevanshTanna That seems a bit op but the branding lines up, cortex-M33 just to control a relay while the used a cheaper and simpler 8051 based chip for the temperature and humidity sensor.
