Ladies and gentlemen, as we all know, @Qualcomm’s IoT SoC will empower the entire ecosystem out there. We’re introducing something exceptional in the single-board computer domain, with it also we’ve also explored modularity, much like @FrameworkPuter. It’s powered by the QCS6490, delivering 12 TOPS of performance.

Moving Forward with the DRAM Crisis I originally thought of publishing this as a fancy update on our website. But writing this from my phone’s simple notes app feels like the most honest and feasible way to communicate with our customers. Vicharak is a company focused on revolutionising edge computing through various hardware and software solutions. It was founded in Surat, a city in India known for manufacturing almost all of the world’s diamonds. But electronics? That’s rare here. We’re similar to that penguin, building alone among eight million people in the city. Yet we dared ourselves to build a company that could manufacture something more than diamonds, something meaningful in the world of electronics and computing. Our first product, Vaaman (our FPGA + RK3399), followed by Axon, an RK3588-based SBC, was not an easy journey. We struggled through everything: Linux bring-up, firmware development, hardware design, prototypes, manufacturing failures, and eventually mass production. It took 30–35 engineers working continuously for nearly two years to make this happen. Our goal has always been to provide a best-in-class hardware and software platform capable of competing with giants like Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, and many Chinese vendors. At times, it felt like our entire team was climbing Mount Everest. Selling the first 200 boards was the hardest milestone. It was hard to making people spend $180 on hardware from an unknown company without first seeing it succeed in the hands of others. It took nearly six months, along with countless manufacturing failures, to reach that point. But we kept moving forward. Slowly, we managed to sell boards, satisfy customers, and establish our own trajectory with strong engineering in this industry. As momentum started building, we planned to scale production to thousands of units this year and in process of launching more six additional products ranging from $50 to $500. Then something unexpected happened! Starting in November 2025, DRAM prices began rising sharply. The 4GB LPDDR4X chips that we used to purchase for $9 now cost $45 probably more tomorrow, since it’s increasing almost every day. For small hardware manufacturers like us, this has been close to a nightmare. The ongoing AI boom has created enormous demand for HBM memory, leading DRAM vendors to care more about higher-margin products and significantly reduce the production of standard DRAM. This has made it extremely difficult for companies like ours to manufacture basic computing hardware. As a result, many devices globally, including TV boxes, smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, and embedded systems are likely to be affected. Ironically, in many cases today, DRAM costs nearly four times more than the processor itself. Just when three years of hard work finally started paying off, this crisis appeared. I have personally contacted nearly every possible vendor, trying to secure memory supplies, sometimes even buying 100 pieces from individual traders just to keep production moving and making sure we’ll have the enough boards available to customers any how. For me, our customers mean everything. Offering unrealistic prices has never been my approach. I’m building this company to deliver the best solutions possible, and pricing matters to me as much as it does to you. However, we also cannot stop manufacturing. To keep our R&D, support, and engineering teams active, we must maintain a sustainable business. What Vicharak is going to build this year will be astonishing, and we cannot pause that progress. For some of our industrial customers, this situation may be challenging. But given the circumstances, we have decided to temporarily adjust the prices of all Vicharak boards until the DRAM market stabilises. With every new production batch we’ll update the prices. I have never believed in opportunistic leverage. I firmly believe that when a customer buys our product, it is like a long-term relationship almost like a marriage. And in such relationships, transparency matters. To ensure this transparency, we will soon publish a dedicated page on the Vicharak website showing a complete historical table of DRAM prices and the board prices we offered at that time. I will do everything in my power to make this situation easier for all of you. Until this crisis passes, stay with us, and let’s continue building the solutions the world deserves. Akshar, Vicharak

Every robotics project eventually reaches the same stage, integrating perception, planning, and control into a single reliable system. That is where ROS 2 becomes essential. With AXON, developers can now run ROS 2 directly on-device, enabling robotics systems to process sensor data, run AI models, and control hardware in real time, all from a compact edge computer. Whether it’s autonomous robots, drones, or research platforms, AXON provides the compute needed to build and deploy modern robotics stacks. @sanchitmonga22 @waitin4agi_ Ya that's why planning to move onto Orin Nano or Jetson Nano, though jetson is an overkill for this but let's see. @Vicharak_In can your board solve this?

Giving away an extra jetson orin nano. Comment what you need it for and especially if you’re mid project and need it I’ll DM you if I like what you’re building and it’s yours.

@Vicharak_In I absolutely love it. Nay, I am proud of you. It seems pretty cool stuff. Q is why we didn't know about you before?? You must market more. BTW, what are the specs/performance and price ? I tried to look for some documentation on the Net. Where can I see it? 👍👍

We’ve worked extensively on the documentation. However, the challenge Laksh may face is the lack of resources available on the internet Pi already has tons of blogs and guides, which makes troubleshooting easier. To solve this, ask him to join our Discord and post his questions there. We have an active developer community, and we’ll support him all the way.

@HiAbhayKulkarni Laksh worked on @Vicharak_In Axon at Param Foundation for his hackathon submission. His feedback: powerful board, but the documentation was challenging. He’s a big fan of Vicharak boards and wants to build his next project on one. I’ll just need to wait for the budget.
