@ONGC_ 🚨 ONGC Employees Must Wake Up Before It Is Too Late 🚨 Handing over entire Offshore Logistics Operations to a single agency is not reform — it is a dangerous gamble with ONGC’s lifeline. 1️⃣ Offshore logistics is one of the most complex and sensitive operations. No matter how perfect the scope definition appears on paper, changes, deviations and additional requirements are inevitable — leading to massive cost escalations later. 2️⃣ Entire offshore dependence on one single agency can become catastrophic if that agency fails to perform. Even temporary disruption can badly hit offshore production and operational continuity. 3️⃣ The so-called “single agency” itself will depend upon multiple subcontractors. Default or failure by any one of them can throw offshore operations into complete jeopardy. 4️⃣ Once ONGC becomes fully dependent, the contractor may start dictating terms, creating monopoly pressure and pushing ONGC into a helpless position during contract execution. 5️⃣ This is not prudent decision-making. ONGC is taking an extremely high operational and financial risk which may severely damage offshore functioning in future. 6️⃣ Such a massive transition should first have been implemented on a pilot basis to test workability, risks and operational sustainability. Engaging multiple agencies would have reduced monopoly and operational vulnerability. 7️⃣ Serious questions are being raised whether this entire exercise is designed more to benefit a few resourceful agencies close to power corridors rather than protecting ONGC’s long-term interests. 8️⃣ ONGC’s history itself shows logistics contracts are highly vulnerable to cartelization, manipulation, cost overruns, defaults and monopoly creation. Why repeat the same dangerous mistakes on an even larger scale? ONGC employees, officers and stakeholders must raise their voice NOW. Offshore operations are the backbone of India’s energy security — they cannot be subjected to experimental decisions and corporate monopolies. #ONGC #MumbaiHigh #Offshore #EnergySec
