🚨 When affluent Burlington residents 🇨🇦 start organizing because crime feels out of control in what was once considered one of Canada’s safest communities…
…you know something has gone seriously wrong.
Rising crime, rising disorder, rising frustration — even in places once insulated from it all.
Canadians are noticing. 👀 🇨🇦#Burlington #cdnpoli #Canada

Some countries have turned to cash payouts to boost birth rates. One Indian state is doubling down on doing that, writes Menaka Doshi in India Edition. bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

Kids shooting Roman candles at each other has Darwin Awards written all over it.
This got really popular when Harry Potter came out 25 years ago and kids thought it would be cool to pretend to be a wizard by shooting flaming balls at each other.
Now kids in Chinguacousy park gather every year on Victoria day to repeat this insanity.
Shazi@ShaziGoalie
This is insane! Police shut down Chinguacousy park because... wait for it.. ..people were shooting fireworks at each other.

@Cernovich Boomers didn't spend a quarter of their income on subscriptions, door dash, eating out, credit card payments and car loans, or student loans...
These kids are wasting their income on stupid stuff and luxuries.

Do Zoomers get drafted for a meat grinder like the Vietnam War? Pay 20% mortgage rates? Lose pensions? Have entire industries like factories close down? Wait in line for gas stations due to oil shortage? Every generation has something to complain about. Life is never easy.

@Cernovich Did boomers have 600% inflation?

For the first time in months, Canadians received a small piece of encouraging news at the grocery store. Food inflation eased in April to 3.5%, down from 4.0% the previous month. Grocery prices specifically, food purchased from stores, rose 3.8% year-over-year, still significantly above Canada’s general inflation rate.
More importantly, food inflation has now outpaced overall inflation every single month since March 2025. So while the pace of increase may be slowing, food affordability remains one of the country’s biggest economic frustrations, and consumers know it...

@covid_parent Do you really think that the health care system wouldn't have a contingency plan in place for 300 000 visitors?
Have you ever heard of a fire drill?
It's also a contingency plan.
English

@covid_parent Canadas healthcare system isn’t even ready for the current times lol

@ManyBeenRinsed Bond markets exploding higher, how are they gonna drop rates? Seriously interested. My Carney-loving friend also says the same. What is the logic?

@FoodProfessor There is an upside to rising food prices as more families everywhere are planting gardens to offset the pressure of keeping up.

@ManyBeenRinsed Fun fact: excessive radon is the number one cause of lung cancer in non-smokers, with Canadian homes being particularly vulnerable due to our location.
You can dramatically lower your exposure by literally just opening your windows regularly.

My range consists of a couple acres outside Ottawa. There’s no fence, no guards, no secure lockups, hell- there isn’t even hydro.
We have 1800 members. We own probably 10 guns each on average (likely way more) so, you’re suggesting we toss 18,000+ guns in a shed in the woods on the outskirts of town?
Or, alternatively we keep them locked up in my alarmed and heavily camera’d house where nobody’s the wiser.
Bro - you can’t be serious 🇨🇦

🚨🇨🇦 Last Victoria Day longweekend striploins were on sale for $8.99.
One year later the sale price is 44% more.
Who exactly is live becoming more affordable for under the Liberals?🤔

Gator⚡Gum@gator_gum
If you can't afford strip loins, don't buy them.

@wealthmoose I’m living rent free in your pussy.
You are on my land. I’m indigenous.

Question of the day: Mark Carney has repeatedly claimed he's making Canada more affordable. Last Victoria Day longweekend striploins were on sale for $8.99. One year later the sale price is 44% more. Who exactly is live becoming more affordable for under the Liberals?
