So excited to announce that I’ve committed to the University of Minnesota (@UMNews, @UMN_HSJMC), where I’ll be majoring in Journalism—with a sports focus, of course. I was accepted to some amazing universities, but UMN has been my dream school for years. A huge thank you to @ErikaWachter for inspiring me and helping me get into these incredible schools, as well as @DaveAMcCarthy and @expomick for giving me my first shot on radio. Thank you to @ONNJSports for giving me the opportunity to cover hockey, and to @Jackie_Redmond for taking a chance on me in TV. I’m also so grateful to the amazing women who have supported me throughout this journey, including @RachelMHerzog, @MeghanChayka, @SherryDarlingNJ and @AnnaNoelleDua. And a special thank you to @PaigeSpiranac for your great advice and for encouraging me not to give up when the attacks began a few years ago. Excited for what’s next—Go Gophers!

@HockeyyInsiderr @penguins @NJDevils Get rid of loser points and get rid of shootouts. To the winner go the spoils, to the loser, nothing. And if it's still tied after OT then they split the points. And if you're so concerned with teams playing for ties, then award a bonus point for regulation wins.

The overtime/SO loss in the NHL is a funny rule. The @penguins have 16 loser points; 37 wins and 37 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NJDevils have 2 loser points ; 38 wins and 35 losses and have already been eliminated from playoff contention. The @GoldenKnights have 16 loser points; 33 wins and 42 losses and will comfortably make the playoffs. The @NHLBruins have 8 loser points ; 42 wins and 32 losses and currently in a dog fight to make the playoffs 50-50 chance. Is the @nhl REALLY putting the best product forward? Or is there a way to make the Stanley cup playoffs even MORE competitive?

@tompharmguy @TheBrattPack63 @lucaslongo97 The Devils' drafting over the last 10 years has actually been decent. Three years ago we had a top 5 prospect pool. The problem is that Fitz traded away all of our top prospects for a bunch of underwhelming players.

@Sportsnet Greer is lucky that Zary didn't end up seriously injured. If @NHLPlayerSafety doesn't fine Greer the max under the CBA and suspend him for at least 10 games then they're not doing their jobs.

@DonLagreca Alternatively, the NHL could do a Devils vs Flyers Winter Classic from Rutgers Stadium. I doubt that it would ever happen, but the idea of a hockey game in "The Birthplace of College Football" (really all football) would be really cool to see.

I can get behind this, although I'd put him as having grown up in Raritan (Boro not Twp) so that the "affiliated" uncle actually tracks. Either there or one of the Caldwells.
