When Warren Buffett announced his retirement (Charlie Munger, never did); I wonder if not having Charlie by his side played a role...I suspect it was simply not as much fun without Charlie youtu.be/M0q0S-32E3g?si… Of course, the upheavals brought about by Trump which change the very framework of the US somewhat may have had a role as well and 4 years may be too long for him to wait! The above is Buffett's tribute to Munger last year. Sounds like the very best possible version of marriage - we did everything together - we never had any doubts about the other person - we loved spending every day together - we never ever got mad at each other - we did keep learning and we liked learning together - we had fun together Have you ever found a marriage this idyllic? Let me know Buffett himself had a pretty messed up marriage - he had a first marriage with a long standing relationship on the side for decades. Mostly airbrushed to keep his carefully crafted avuncular all American image intact.

In my old books is a three volume compilation of landmark original papers in #Physics - gifted by an ex as a wooing strategy🤓 You are a certified nerd if someone thinks that this is the way to your heart! Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid was a gift from another suitor 🙃 Yup. #Books 📚 are my love language...and my friendship language PS: No. Didn't actually read them end to end. But the strategy worked...at least for a time - maybe as virtue signaling 😊 And yeah, poetry 😍works too Remember my undergrad degree was in Maths, Statistics and English literature So now you know PPS: I think we all need a break from the relentless war news
