Danielle Smith called out the truth. Alberta’s wealth has been drained for decades to fund provinces that vote against our interests. We are not a province in a fair federation. We are the ATM.

Despite growing concern with Bill C-22, government’s response has been to launch a misleading social media campaign and insist that the experts and companies are wrong. Time to stop the gaslighting, extend hearings, and address privacy and security risks. x.com/mgeist/status/…

Signal is now warning that it could exit Canada over Bill C-22. The government has called Signal, Apple, Meta, US Congress, and cybersecurity experts all wrong. But this isn't a bluff. Canadians will lose access to secure services if the bill passes as is. michaelgeist.ca/2026/05/bill-c…

🚨 LIBERALS’ BILL C-22 IS A FULL-ON ORWELLIAN SURVEILLANCE STATE — and they tried to hide it. In a bombshell Standing Committee on Public Safety hearing, Conservative MP Dane Lloyd just forced officials to admit the truth: Bill C-22 is NOT just about handing over your IP and contact info like “Gun Grab Gary” Anandasangaree claimed. Confirmed: The Public Safety Minister can secretly issue ministerial orders forcing tech companies to activate your devices’ microphones and let the government remotely eavesdrop inside your home — on nothing more than “reasonable grounds to suspect.” Even worse? Companies that advertise “your microphone can’t be turned on remotely” will be forced to lie to you because of gag orders and non-disclosure clauses. They’re building the infrastructure for warrantless home spying — straight out of a dystopian nightmare. This is the same Liberal government that wants your guns but demands total access to your living room conversations. Fire Minister Gary Anandasangaree.
Kill Bill C-22 before it kills your privacy. Canadians deserve better than a surveillance state. Watch the full committee exchange 👇 #cdnpoli #BillC22 #SurveillanceState #Privacy #LiberalOverreach #GunGrabGary #CanadaIsBroken

Jeffrey Rath was on Power and Politics tonight... full hit "If you do IT under section 1 of the Referendum act, there's no ability whatsoever for the court to get involved because even Justice Leonard agrees at that point. The Supreme Court of Canada and the secession reference says the courts have no role to play and no jurisdiction because it's a purely political issue." And after all the accusations of separatists being foreign funded, Rath points out that the fist nations are being foreign funded "And I'm sure that the first nations, because they're being funded by the Tides foundation and funded by George Soros and funded by foreign money, will fight every single step of the way because they have billionaires backing them." @JeffreyRWRath

So apparently Albertans have a “duty to consult” the Indian bands our very tax dollar support. Weird, why wasn’t this “duty to consult” required with the forever Canada petition, when the federal government sent billions of our tax dollars to Ukraine and other foreign countries, when billions of our tax dollars were used to subsidize failing battery plants and cricket factories or when they allowed millions of foreigners to invade our country? Why is this “duty to consult” only applicable in this situation and for oil and gas pipelines? It’s almost like the “duty to consult” only applies when people want to do something the federal government disagrees with. This court ruling is PROOF that Albertans needs to separate from Canada as remaining in Canada ENSURES Albertans will NEVER have their voices heard!

@DevronAlistar @Michphil1998 It’s a pretty cut and dry law. It was put in place after the last referendum of Quebec The fact lawyers from this movement didn’t know this is quite alarming

Jason Markusoff on an Alberta judge quashing a petition for a separation referendum: "They had a duty to consult [First Nations]. They did not consult before issuing this petition. Therefore this petition, the 300k signature petition that had been presented just last week -- that's been quashed."

No matter what you are trying to do in Canada, you are not allowed. In fact, you are not even allowed to have a vote. Scratch that, you are not allowed to even sign a petition saying you want to have a vote. That is what Canada has become and why it needs to end. Alberta needs to leave and the rest of Canada can wallow in its stagnation.
