ACID = transaction guarantees in a single DB (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability). CAP = trade-off theorem in distributed systems: during network partition, pick 2 of Consistency, Availability, Partition Tolerance. ACID is local reliability, CAP is about what you sacrifice at scale.
