@ItsRiverShane @JamesHu27192912 Not really sure what youre asking. If i saw another muslim demanding someone else to participate i would speak against it. in no way is anyone required to participate. no one should be expected to change their behavior to accommodate us. just treat each other with respect.

@DewFuel @JamesHu27192912 So you don't personally condone requesting that strangers abstain as well, in your presence?

🚨 Muslim man: “Please stop eating… I can smell that. I’m fasting for Ramadan. Do you mind not eating?” Woman: “I’m eating my lunch. That’s your problem.” Muslim man: “But I’m fasting… it’s Ramadan…” Woman: “F off. If you don’t want to see someone eating, stay at home.” Your thoughts ?

@TheDreamProfit @JamesHu27192912 yeah, i agree. its ragebait for dumb racists. muslims observe ramadan in silence. its a very personal and spiritual journey. ive never once even talked about fasting to my non-muslim friends unless they bring it up.

I doubt this is even true. I’ve got Muslim friends who observe Ramadan and run a bodega near me in the Bronx. Every morning I go in, order a breakfast sandwich and a drink, they cook it, take my money, and watch me eat without a single complaint or request. Been that way for years.

@ItsRiverShane @JamesHu27192912 its a personal journey and focuses on empathy for those less fortunate. its a sacrifice we make to understand the hardships of those around us. we do the journey in silence and without expectation from others to understand or participate.

@JamesHu27192912 Isn't the point of them fasting for spiritual discipline and obedience to their god? If the smell of a cheeseburger makes you waver in your commitment to your deity, you've got bigger things to worry about than some non-muslim woman having lunch.

@MEnative1967 @JamesHu27192912 Shut the fuck up. muslims do not expect others to participate in Ramadan. Its a personal journey, and ive never in my 42 years encountered this kind of interaction. if it even occurred, its an extreme outlier.

@JamesHu27192912 When a Christian does a fast they do it in silence and go about their business, but the religious of peace does a fast everyone is suppose to participate in it, get a life!

Everyone's staring at the powerful move this morning but almost nobody is looking at why it's happening. $SPX has been under the gamma flip line and this is textbook behavior when that happens. The volatility, the chop, the shakeouts, none of this is random. I scaled into a S&P 500 position Friday because I could see the setup forming for a bounce. I sold some into this morning's pop, then used my $TICK indicator to scalp a few points off MNQ when it printed a -1000 extreme reading a few times today. If you want this tool and a breakdown of what it is, its in the thread below.

In 2025 I turned $2,500 into $80,000 in prop firm payouts using extreme $NYSE $TICK readings. In this thread I'm giving you the indicators I built for both ThinkOrSwim and TradingView, plus the video breakdown of how I use them. (thread)

The extremely critical vwap is 6440 in cash and 6380 in futures You could see that as the 50 week moving average as well Breaking that would be bad (red vwap is at 6000)

This is a classic demonstration of Troxler’s effect. Stare at the green circle for a few moments, and the yellow circle will seemingly vanish from view

I just saw a woman explain why she doesnt do 50/50 on dates and her reasoning gagged me. She said : if i go alone id be paying for my meal, and if go on a date and pay 50/50 id still be paying for my meal so why would i want to get dressed up, spend energy on emotional labor, holding conversations, entertaining my date, if im just gonna pay for my own food anyway? Id rather wear my yoga set and scroll uninterrupted. And couldnt have said that any better!!!

@ofviceandsin @mf_tomb @thesilkystache @MurrayHillGuy1 i just enjoy quiet solitary time to myself. i dont like public spaces and large crowds are not pleasant. a nice summer day in the city will be jam packed in every outdoor spot. getting a house in the burbs lets me enjoy my peace and quiet the way i prefer. to each their own

Day in the life of a mid 30s guy in the suburbs (Saturday edition/no kids): 7:30am — wakes up before his alarm anyway 8:00 — walks the golden retriever 8:30 — chug a black coffee 9:30 — Costco run that somehow turns into $347 12:30 — eats samples like it’s lunch 2:00 — “quick” nap that ruins the rest of the day 4:30 — stands in the backyard staring at nothing 6:00 — gets yelled at by his wife for something he definitely did wrong 7:30 — 1.5 beers = exhausted 9:15 — falls asleep mid-movie he picked 2:30am — wide awake for no reason, contemplating everything Same script every weekend

I assume you asked genuinely, so I’ll answer genuinely. I live in the country, but I’m certainly part of the demographic that you might see as “boring” like this. Here’s my Friday: I wake to the shouts and giggles of two little boys. Get some hugs and some coffee, now it’s time to make money. At about 1pm my sons busted into my office and asked me if I’d take them to play golf. I said yes because I’ve built a life in which I can. When we get home, I finish work. Later, we have dinner as a family (chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes, it was 🔥). My sons ranked their days on a scale from 1-10 like we do and they said today was a “10.” Whatever high yall city folk get from “going out,” I got it from that. Then I played basketball with my sons. We watched a little TV on the couch together. Now it’s bath time, bed time, Bible and prayers. As my oldest closed his eyes, he told me how he makes his friends pray before they eat lunch. I felt that “high” again. Kids are asleep. So now it’s time for mom and dad to do some fun things that married people do. This is my Friday night. And I’ll be absolutely WIPED by 10pm - it was a full day. And while it might sound insane to you right now, I wouldn’t trade places with any person on Earth. I have what men search for all their lives; what men would sacrifice everything to have. Some have lost it chasing the things you’re suggesting I’m missing out on. I mean this with all the love in the world. I’m not defensive. But I know with certainty, what you find rewarding will change the instant you are holding your first child in your arms. And I’m so excited for you to experience it one day. Good luck out there. Sincerely, A boring dad

How do people in the suburbs genuinely look forward to Friday night on the couch, Saturday morning at Costco, and call that a weekend? Like you really moved out of the city just to LARP as your parents at 34?
