Robert, How ridiculous can you be? How many blacks have been denied their vote? How many blacks have been denied their ability to register to vote? This might sound pessimistic, but I’ve always wondered why no billionaire has single-handedly funded the halting or reversal of climate change purely for the narcissistic thrill of being able to say they literally saved humanity.

The con continues... Newsom "balanced" the budget the way a gambler "earns" a living. Revenues came in $16.5 billion higher than projected, driven entirely by the AI boom and stock market, products of the private sector capitalism he spends every day attacking. Silicon Valley balanced his budget. He is taking credit for it. State spending has grown over $100 billion since 2020. The nonpartisan Legislative Analyst's Office projects $22-27 billion annual deficits starting in 2028. Legislative experts have warned that the AI revenue boom could be a bubble. California gets half its revenue from 1% of the population, meaning the "balanced budget" is one market correction away from collapse. "Republicans ruin budgets. Democrats balance them." California is constitutionally required to pass a balanced budget every year. Every governor has done it. Claiming credit for a legal mandate is not governance. It is campaigning for the Presidency. And the man whose state spending has grown $100 billion in six years while facing tens of billions in projected deficits is not the man to lecture anyone about fiscal discipline. The budget is balanced because capitalism produced a windfall. The deficit will return because Sacramento will waste it.
