@heavyoilcontry Personally if I was Vegas I'd wait till after the draft and then after the first few weeks of UFA to be over. So around August 1st I'd give everyone the ok to talk to him.
This is also partly an Owner decision. As that 4.5m comes directly from his pocket.

@heavyoilcontry I'd recommend the majority of NHL teams, Owners and GM's should grow up and stopping running their old boys club and start running their teams like a real world business. Or they watch Vegas and a couple other teams walk all over them for the foreseeable future.

With guaranteed money, plus being a apart a teams draft and UFA meetings comes NDA's and other clauses that are must.

100 hockey men love players like Nurse. Skates fast, has size, plays somewhat physical and can log huge mins. He just doesn't have a high hockey IQ.

Too funny but what can you do. Said it weeks ago. If Vegas has this kind of pull, Cassidy needs to fire his agent and asap.
Part of the reason you employee an agent is to ensure this doesn't happen. I can see it until the draft but not beyond.

Kelly McCrimmon says the Golden Knights granted Bruce Cassidy permission to speak to one team and it did not come to fruition. Moving forward he says they'll deal with it on a case by case basis.

I don’t know what has happened to society but the lack of courtesy and respect seems to be a pandemic in itself lately.
So many people just seem to be content being a total asshole to random people around them and no one puts these people in their place to correct the behaviour.
People need to stop being so meek and call out bad public behaviour.

@Oil_Drop That's the other thing....this also kind of a lot an Owner decision and choice. It's his personal money being spent. I'm typically not for owners making decisions but in this type of situation have at it. Just stay away from the player, hockey and drafting decisions as Owner.

As for every other UFA who knows we will certainly already be limited in who will sign here because of Babcock. It'll get worse.
