@Jackson_Oldham1 Been a busy period for Caulfield. Tracks probably feeling the toll of racing. That’s pulled up very well for a track after 10 races.

The Caulfield track following the meeting last week (left) and yesterday (right) both on good tracks with minimal rainfall in the days leading in. It walks like a cow paddock. At best they’ve got the irrigation wrong, at worst the track hasn’t come up post renovation and no rain late Jan into Feb hid the issue. @betsy_com_au @foxcatcherintel

Scone officially a Soft7, downgraded from a S6 before the 1st. It's nowhere near it. G4 or even a tick better.

Good luck to you @DigbyNuthall @hawkesburyrc in your new (much maligned at times) position - I hope in time to come you will ‘Stand Alone’ as a much respected Racecourse Manager - just like many that have preceded you. @jheddoATC
PROVINCIAL RACING@provracingnsw

IT’S @hawkesburyrc’s 20th Saturday stand-alone metropolitan meeting – and @DigbyNuthall's first. But it’s a safe bet come the weekend the club’s new racecourse manager won’t be overawed in the least provincialracingnsw.com.au/post/digby-nut…

@dawson_mac I’d see no reason why not, compress breaks between races and you’d do it easy.

Why do we not have twilight race meetings in NSW now? Really think country race tracks would benefit with the extra people attending. E.g Friday afternoon at Scone starting at 3pm for the first and 7pm for the last. Would in my thoughts increase attendance to race tracks.

Wolfcity may have clinched victory in round 6 of The Races WA Podcast Tipping Comp, but they still sit at 50th overall, highlighting just how open this competition is! Like the top 10, Wolfcity placed their big bet on Mojo Rhythm. Leaderboard: racingwa.thegreattipoff.com/racing/

Newcastle Track! Hope this helps understand when we use the word pad. Why the rail moves are what they are in the winter. Horses damage more, recovery slow in the winter & root structure weakens causing generally shifter ground than summer. 15/6 2m 1/6 9m 25/5 7m 11/5 True 9/5 9m

The Darwin Cup will be significantly downsized due to the economic downturn. The below press release has just been issued by the Darwin Turf Club: "The Darwin Turf Club Board met earlier this week to discuss this year’s Great Northern Darwin Cup and decided to take a cautious approach to operational and infrastructure investment due to a general decline in ticket sales. This decline is attributed to limited interstate access to the Northern Territory, cost of living pressures, and other economic challenges reducing discretionary spending. "Attempts to secure additional funding from stakeholders to enhance the carnival have been unsuccessful. Consequently, the Board has decided to close the Centerfield and focus resources on improving service delivery to all guests on the grandstand side of the track. This decision follows consultations with the accommodation, events, and hospitality sectors, reflecting a softer than expected tourism uptake during this year's dry season. "Despite these challenges, Darwin Turf Club Chairman Craig Trezise remains optimistic about the success of the Darwin Cup Carnival. He stated, “We remain extremely confident we can produce an exceptional event keeping with the highest quality and services that our stakeholders have come to expect from one of the NT's largest events. "The 2024 carnival kicks off on July 6 and culminates with the Great Northern Darwin Cup on Monday, August 5."
