This nightmare that began on 10/7/23 has finally ended for his family and the world’s Jewish community. At last, Ran Gvili can be put to eternal rest. I will always stand with Israel and the global Jewish community, and support its right to exist in peace and security.

Earlier today, a farewell ceremony was held at Ben Gurion Airport for fallen hostage Joshua Loitu Mollel, before his casket was flown back to Tanzania for burial. Israelis gathered to pay their final respects and say goodbye to a wonderful young man who found himself caught in a war that had nothing to do with him. Joshua, 21, had arrived in Israel just a few weeks before October 7 to begin an agricultural internship at Kibbutz Nahal Oz. It was his first time ever leaving Tanzania. He dreamed of launching his own agricultural business and becoming one of the most successful farmers in his country. On October 7, Joshua was abducted to Gaza and executed by Hamas on camera. After more than two years, his parents and four siblings can finally bring him home and lay him to rest in Tanzania, with the dignity and love he deserves. May he rest in peace.

Hamas is playing games over the return of dead hostages - a clear breach of the ceasefire deal. Nothing threatens the ceasefire more. Anyone who truly wants peace would demand Hamas hand them over. Number of NGOs and 'peace activists' calling on Hamas to hand them over? Zero!

Just after 10:30 AM local time, Hamas snipers murdered two IDF soldiers-ceasefire gone, Trump's plan torched. Israel has every right to end them, and if you hate seeing civilian pain, go pressure Egypt to open Rafah border, evacuate Gazans out. That's how you stop casualties, not by whining. Let Israel finish this barbarism once and for all.

Initial medical reports reveal: Avinatan Or was held in harsh conditions and was starved throughout his time in captivity; he lost 30-40% of his body weight and is very thin and weak. This is what Avinatan looked like before and after spending 2 years held hostage by Hamas:

"Gaza genocide survivors". Fresh haircuts, big bellies. Find one starving person (nobody succeeded yet). #MrFAFO looks so well, after he died 20 times. He was a doctor, a patient in coma, a corpse, an innocent baby, and now he's back being a journalist. Video via @GAZAWOOD1

Two years ago today, Avinatan and I came to the Nova Music Festival to celebrate life, but we found ourselves in the dark tunnels of Gaza. I can’t even begin to describe the horrible atrocities of that day. Thousands of young people running in the fields, hundreds of cars trying to escape - all of us begging not to be murdered. October 7 was the last time I saw my partner. In captivity, I asked about Avinatan everywhere I went. I didn’t know if he was kidnapped or murdered, but i was afraid to know the answer. I lived in fear every single day. Being here today is nothing short of a miracle - I am not the same person I was two years ago. I broke down. I rose again. Dozens of times. And still, it hasn’t ended. Two years have passed. We still have hostages clinging on to their lives, each day, each minute, a living hell. Hostages who are starving, waiting for the day that they could see the light again. I miss Avinatan more with every passing day. I hold onto hope, every single day, that this nightmare will end soon, and we’ll finally get to live the life we’ve dreamed of. This nightmare will end only when all the 48 hostages will come back home. We are not losing hope. We pray that in the next few days we’ll hear good news, and by the end of this holiday we will see our loved ones again.

Two days after she used a photo of hostage Evyatar David as “evidence” of Israel’s abuse of Palestinian prisoners, Greta Thunberg quietly deleted the slide. No apology. No accountability. No recognition that a suffering family had to bear witness to an image of their loved one being used to drum up support for his captors. This is seriously the person the world calls a “human rights activist”?

🚨🚨A couple of days ago, I joined an English-speaking Twitter/X Space that was held by Egyptians, Jordanians, and Palestinians, including Gazans. The conversation was about the war in Gaza. Despite not getting anywhere due to the nonsensical arguments they tried to make, I suppose it was something that can be called a "conversation". Then they started an Arabic-speaking Space. It quickly turned into a verbal October 7th. They laughed and joked while telling me how they'd rape and slaughter me and every member of my family. I then listened anonymously while they talked about how discussing the war with an English-speaking audience is different from their usual Arabic Spaces, which they reserve for "humiliating" and "terrorising" Jews and Zionists. This is the future of Europe and the West. The people talking to you about Palestinian human rights will be the ones to take away your rights, along with your head if you object. October 7th is, to millions of people from these societies, one of the greatest days in their modern history. Any regret they exhibit is not for their actions, but for their failure to achieve their aims. They will try again, as soon as they can, because this is what they know. This is what they have always known. If nothing is done about this, it won't be long before the West meets its October 7th. By the way, nothing they said had any impact on me. In fact, it reminded me who exactly we're fighting. It is a comfort to believe the Dark Ages are a relic of history. Yet they remain, separated from us by a single flight. A flight into Beirut, Baghdad, Damascus, Kabul...that's all it takes. There, you will come across the Dark Ages, where the strong prey on, rape, and slaughter the weak. Don't you ever forget this.
