Today is International Day for People with Disabilities (IDPWD) – a day to promote awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities. We want to take this opportunity to acknowledge all of #OurHealthService staff who have disabilities - whatever your role is, it's important and we thank you. The Le Chéile Network is the HSE staff network for employees with disabilities, neurodiverse conditions and long-term health conditions. The network recently held a celebratory event at Dr Steevens' Hospital for IDPWD. Learn more about the network on our website: bit.ly/4pbIN5Y

📢 New Video Series: Post Diagnostic Support Guidelines for People with Intellectual Disabilities: Pillars of Support We’re proud to share a newly launched series of short, accessible videos based on the Post-Diagnostic Dementia Support Guidelines for People with an Intellectual Disability. Developed as a key stage of this research project, these guidelines provide practical, evidence-informed recommendations to help individuals with an intellectual disability, their families, and carers navigate the journey following a dementia diagnosis. The videos break down the key pillars of support in a clear and accessible format— ensuring best practices in care are understandable and actionable at every stage of dementia. This is an important step forward in making inclusive, person-centred dementia care more available to all. ▶️ Watch the videos here: tcd.ie/tcaid/research… ▶️ Learn more about the project here: tcd.ie/tcaid/research…
