I've got no leg in this race as I haven't liked pokemon in a long time but Gamefreak definitely deserves the hate they get for how they've handled a beloved IP. My reason for commenting more has to do with the shit excuse of, "it's for kids", being used as a reason to dismiss criticism. Do kids not enjoy well crafted media? Should they just sit there and consume whatever slop we hand them? This is the reason so many people have bad taste these days. They have been fed slop since they were young, so now it's the taste they have become accustomed to and anything even slightly better than sub par seems like a delicacy. Stop using "it's for kids" as an excuse. We, and kids, deserve good, well crafted media. Especially if we're paying damn near $100 for it these days.

Looks like the Miraidon/ Koraidon event is a complete mess, as expected for a physical event (what were they thinking?) in 2025. In Japan and US lots of stores are already out of codes due to scalpers.
