Paper towel manufacturer product managers: "Call it easy-tear so that everyone will buy it." "Now make only the first part easy to tear and make sure the bottom part is so strong it rips the wrong direction randomly every time."

If you're doing any video filming + editing work and, like me, end up with a lot of video (especially b-roll) that you hope you remember what it is...here's the way to solve that. discoposse.com/2026/03/27/aut… Very lightweight, local-only video analysis, tagging, natural language descriptions, and in a searchable SQLite with a super simple local UI. Uses Ollama for the model and runs on MacOS with 16GB with no problem. Hope it helps folks out. I use the hell out of it already. I set it loose on my NAS folders and now I have everything tagged and searchable and no cost involved.

Every time we do a user survey. What would make X better for you? Normal Person: > Maybe a podcast feature? Guy who reposted 370 videos from TikTok using Scheduled Posts, has never opened the app, and has a bot writing replies: > *Foaming from mouth* > Gib…more…money….

I often wonder - Has the guy who just replaced the $200k/yr finance executive with an agent ever hired a $200k/yr finance executive? Has the tech bro with a Mac Mini doing the jobs $100k/mo worth of payroll ever managed $100k/mo of payroll? Has the guy bragging he can replace your entire CS team with a chat bot ever owned CS at a real company? With customers? And customer support? No. He just discovered automation 90 days ago and now he’s posting about it for clout.

AI coding tools writing unit tests is the same as why they give an extra button when you buy a dress shirt. It’s just in case something goes wrong and you need to fix it. And 95% of us will just get a new shirt instead.

If you've built (or are planning to build) an agentic interface to your SaaS, which approach did you take?

It's always funny when we describe something as the "gold standard". There are no currencies in 2026 that are mapped to gold reserves.

MCP solved a problem. It wasn't meant to solve ALL problems with agentic coding and how to represent resources. MCP created problems, which is ok. What we need to do is stop with "Everyone is moving to MCP" followed shortly by "MCP is dead, moving back to API/CLI". Computing is hybrid. So are the ways that we consume it. Stop with the all or nothing approach. Before you start ripping and replacing every AI tool, the first thing you should do is understand what optimal stopping is :)

Trello dropped to free tier and team is fully operational in Fizzy. It is a different workflow, but what I liked about making the switch was the chance to re-evaluate what we were using it for. Always pick the tool that maps to your process over changing your process to map to the tool. Plus, cost going to zero is a win. Thank you @basecamp team!

I've got a Trello to Fizzy migrate/archive tool I'll be posting for folks to use. Validating now and will share the GitHub link shortly. It's not fancy. It's just meant to save someone a few tokens building their own from scratch. Big thanks to the @basecamp team for bringing Fizzy to the world!
Jason Fried@jasonfried

Fuck it, we just made Fizzy completely free. The open source installable version was always free, but the SaaS version was pay. No more. Basecamp and HEY's largess will subsidize Fizzy for all. So go grab your account at Fizzy.do. It's Kanban the way it should be, not the way it has been. Fresh, fun, light, fast, and perfect for working with agents, too. An official CLI is coming soon as well. Stay tuned for that. The native iOS app should be out once Apple approves it (it's in approval right now...). Android is already out, you can get it on the Play store. (and BTW if you were a paying customer, you will no longer be charged moving forward)

A fun one: I combined it with a skill and automation to physically print a one-page update on public discourse around Codex that I can read together with my morning coffee.

Boom. Plugins! Codex now has access to most things it couldn’t reach before and all super easy behind the same with you use for your ChatGPT account. I use this for *everything*, from managing my calendar, triaging incoming bugs, keeping up to date with what everyone is doing at the company and so much more
OpenAI Developers@OpenAIDevs

We're rolling out plugins in Codex. Codex now works seamlessly out of the box with the most important tools builders already use, like @SlackHQ, @Figma, @NotionHQ, @gmail, and more. developers.openai.com/codex/plugins
