NEWS: The @USDA Market Access Program (MAP) has awarded DISCUS $1.08 million to promote American spirits exports in international markets in 2025. DISCUS’ MAP initiatives aim to enhance export opportunities for U.S. distillers and promote American spirits, with an emphasis on American Whiskeys, in key international markets: bit.ly/4cGemBs

Today, we testified before the #Maryland House Ways and Means Committee today in favor of HB 736, a bill to reduce the tax burden on consumers and businesses by lowering the tax rate for spirits-based ready-to-drink cocktails (#RTDs). Currently, spirits RTDs are taxed 17 times higher than beer and wine RTDs even though they have the exact same or similar amount of alcohol. We urge the #MD legislature to act now and ensure fair taxation: bit.ly/4kGGLtj
