🆕 A Virginia House of Delegates committee today voted to send to that chamber’s floor a 2026 bill seeking to allow Virginia judges to -- despite prosecutorial objection -- reduce or dismiss drunk driving charges even after guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and even in cases involving repeat drunk drivers as well as those charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI maiming.
