Hyperfixations can seem fun on the surface, but they consume all the focus I possess. I spend all my free time researching. I can't stop impulsively spending money. I don't want to do anything else. It's not "cute." New obsessions often put a strain on the rest of my life.

Kiddo has a necklace with jingle bells on it & husband had a headache, so he asked him to stop shaking it. Kiddo said no, so I said, "Hey buddy, the bells are sleepy, can we put them to bed and get them up tomorrow?" Hands me the necklace and tells them goodnight. #Parentingwin
