@EdwardHaugland @BillGertz Except that's not what President Biden said. "I think what you're going to see is that Russia will be held accountable if it invades. And it depends on what it does. It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do."

Totally false, Nick. Don’t you remember how liberals like yourself gushed over the Godless Rooskies for decades during the Cold War and became an ally of the Soviets that exterminated millions, from the NYT’s Walter Duranty to your own DepSec State Strobe Talbot? Don’t poke the bear or you’ll cause WWIII they cried. Then they thought KGB thug Putin threw the 2016 election against their beloved Hillary and now Russia is evil. So when Trump now invokes his fears of WWIII he’s somehow Putin’s ally? Give me a break

For 80 years, every American President since Truman and Eisenhower has stood up to Soviet/Russian aggression until now. The bullying of an embattled Zelenskyy today was disgraceful and has shamed our country.

New this week: Through its actions, the U.S. and its allies have an opportunity to reinforce the value of the current rules-based order to other states. President Donald Trump’s recent statements, however, suggest a more conquest based foreign policy. buff.ly/4hfuVE8

Good read by my colleague, Jerritt Lynn! He presents an insightful analysis of the options available to the U.S. Government (USG) in light of Syria’s liberation from the Assad regime. Jerritt carefully outlines two strategic approaches, weighing the risks and potential gains of each. It’s short and easy read, check it out! @DivergentOption divergentoptions.org/2025/01/17/opt…
