Dnes slavíme 22 let od vstupu České republiky do Evropské unie. 🇨🇿🇪🇺 Za tu dobu jsme ušli obrovský kus cesty. Díky členství v EU můžeme svobodně cestovat, studovat, pracovat i podnikat kdekoli v Evropě. A žít v prostoru, kde platí pravidla chránící naše práva, bezpečí i budoucnost. Díky vám už dva roky mohu jako europoslankyně přispívat k tomu, jak bude naše Unie dál vypadat. Pracuji na tom, aby byla silnější, spravedlivější a lépe připravená na výzvy, které přicházejí. Evropa ale nejsou jen instituce v Bruselu. Evropa jsme my všichni. A jen my rozhodneme, jaká bude za dalších 22 let.

@robggill A great show, but I always thought it paled in comparison to Generation Kill tho. Upon watching other David Simon shows (The Wire, Treme, The Plot Against America), I realised that Simon doesnt tell you how to feel. And to me, that's the big difference between BoB and GK.

@Care2much18 And for all practical intents and purposes, Lille, Roubaix, and TCG are one city, but "French bureaucracy" means they maintain their identities as separate towns. (I legally never live "in Lille", although both places I lived were less than 1km from the Grand Place).

@Pastey_n I wonder is it tricky to persuade new businesses to choose Roubaix when Lille is effectively just down the road. 🤷‍♂️ Lower rents maybe count for something in Roubaix's favour but seemingly not enough, at least by the sound of it.

@Care2much18 I worked in Tourcoing, just beyond Roubaix, for a large MNC. They were heavily incentivised to bring jobs locally. Our office was largely built for our company, but at the taxpayers expense.
