Mannen ska ha kört till ett annat bostadsområde där han kände folk efter att polisen anlände till brottsplatsen. Skjutningen ägde rum vid tre hus i samma område. Två vuxna kvinnor sköts dessutom i huvudet och fördes till sjukhus med kritiska skador, och en ung pojke skadades när han hoppade från ett tak. Några av de skjutna barnen var släkt med gärningsmannen.
