You see it?
I chose the village, not because I failed in the city, but because I understood life early.
Many people think progress must wear shoes and speak big grammar. My ancestors taught me that wisdom often walks barefoot and speaks softly.
I am a young man, yet my heart is old.
I wake up with the sun, not with alarm.
I greet the land before I greet my phone.
The soil knows my name, and I respect it, because it feeds me without lies.
I chose farming, not because it is easy, but because it is honest.
The land does not flatter you.
If you work, it responds.
If you are lazy, it keeps quiet.
That is the kind of teacher I trust.
I eat swallow, not pizza.
Garri, fufu, cocoyam, vegetables from the farm — these foods built strong men before foreign names entered our mouths.
Pizza fills the stomach, but swallow strengthens the body and humbles the soul.
My ancestors did not eat to impress; they ate to live.
I trust the words and ways of my fathers more than polished theories written to sound sweet.
Books are good, but not all truth lives in paper.
Some truth lives in proverbs, in moonlight stories, in the way an old man watches the rain before planting.
What has kept my people standing for generations cannot be foolish.
Staying close to nature keeps me close to myself.
The trees teach patience.
The seasons teach timing.
The river teaches humility.
In the village, life is not rushed, but it is not empty.
I am not poor because I live simply.
I am not backward because I value roots.
I am rich in peace, strong in body, and clear in mind.
