All of these perpetrators have been arrested multiple times for various crimes by our heroic NYPD and have been released over and over by New York’s lenient, progressive judges and prosecutors. These criminals are all illegal aliens and subject to immediate deportation, but Governor Hochul’s sanctuary laws prohibit police from determining the immigration status of the people they arrest and bar referring these criminals to immigration enforcement for federal proceedings. Mayor Mamdani, Governor Hochul: It is your fault this baby was killed. It is time to deploy ICE to New York with full cooperation from local authorities to get Venezuelan gangsters out of our city and out of this country.

It just feels so painfully obvious that the 14th amendment does not mean that a 9-months pregnant woman from Mexico can cross the Rio Grande illegally, give birth, and be allowed to stay because her child is now a natural born citizen.

What actually happened is that Biden took an app for commercial truckers to schedule cargo inspections at the border and then converted it into a one-stop digital pathway for nearly a million people to walk up to the southern border and illegally enter this country. And what this ruling essentially amounts to is a declaration that it's legal for a Democrat administration to unilaterally import over 10 million people into this country in four years, but a Republican administration cannot deport them. The judiciary is ultimately going to kill this country unless rulings like this are simply ignored. Leftist judges have completely destroyed whatever moral legitimacy the courts once had in a bid to overturn the results of the last election through blatant ideological lawfare.

If a foreign diplomat gives birth in New York, the child is not a US citizen. But if the diplomat illegally sneaks into the country and THEN gives birth, bingo! US citizenship! That’s how dumb our current interpretation of the 14th Amendment is.

Fun fact: In 2005, Ireland ended birthright citizenship with 79% of voters in favor of the amendment. Birth-tourism, the act of travelling while pregnant so that the child born abroad automatically gains citizenship there, was the catalyst for the decision.

This is what zero enforcement does. A few near-guarantees about the murderer: He’s been arrested and released multiple times for various crimes from moderate to severe. He’s currently out on cashless bail. He’s in the country illegally. He’s wanted for a major crime in his home country. He has an ICE detainer that wasn’t honored due to sanctuary policy. Ending birthright citizenship for illegal aliens would remove one of the largest drivers of illegal immigration to our country. Without the shiny object of birth tourism, you would see it end almost overnight. Democrats are freaking out about this— because they not only want illegal immigration, but the future of their party depends on illegal immigration.
