There is a road known as "Alligator Alley" in South Florida. It cuts straight across the state east-to-west from Ft. Lauderdale to Naples. It's a fascinating drive with a fascinating history. The name couldn't be more apt. I've never seen anything like it! 🧵

@usopencup Well, uh... here's my best attempt. There's too many pro teams in the west and Texas, not nearly enough in the northeast. A glut of pro teams in the southeast but only one in Florida to four amateur sides. This is gonna end up as a travel disaster for a couple teams.

Started putting together a set of possible matchups for the @usopencup and it's looking to me like one or two western pro teams are gonna have to take flights for their first round matches. Don't envy the people who have to try to make this work.
