@cs2news There isn't really; Faceit and the likes have less cheater - but a lot more toxicity so... swings and roundabouts.

"think this might be a bit biased, but I don't think the whole CS community cares about the community mapmakers. Alot of them are really good (crown, warden, golden, jura, cache, anubis, etc..) and it really bums me out when they get the least playercounts out of any maps, thus leading to their removal. Sure, we want cache and cobble, but what happens if they added them back? what maps do we want? do we wanna give death threats to the mapmakers, cuz yall think the map is bad? i've seen this happen with grail, and it kinda upsets me. what happened to the community?"

🤔 Valve was afraid to make a new Counter-Strike from scratch. The dataminer said that the CS2 code consists of the CS:GO legacy code — this created the problems that you saw after switching to Source 2. He cited Deadlock as an example, which is an absolute new game and easier for them to work with.
