This is probably his biggest mistake he's ever made. So much of the MAGA base looks up to these people, and this is going to get them questioning their loyalty to Trump.

I don’t disagree that we need unity but I’m not sure how we get there when the guy that needs the votes keeps telling anyone that disagrees with him they are monsters. If the left attacks I understand that sort of reaction but when your long term voters have legitimate questions and complaints about policy and this is your reaction it’s hard to then talk about unity.
