Incredible work by the meteorologists at National Weather Service St. Louis. This is likely the most detailed tornado damage survey ever conducted. The tornado’s width was expanded to 1.8 miles wide, making it the 8th widest tornado on record. Its rating remains a mid-range EF3 with estimated peak winds of 152 mph.
