@GregBaldwinIroh Spice it up. Fry a little red onion, cumin seeds, green chilies. Add a little of the tomato sauce, mix in red chilli powder or smoked paprika if you can't handle heat. Then the can of beans, cook down a little so not so runny.

Update from grocery shopping in Dubai this morning. Oranges from Australia, Egypt, Morocco, India, Turkey, China, Pakistan and Vietnam. And that’s just the citrus. Don’t even get me started on the apples. Supermarkets are fully stocked. Supply chains are working exactly as they should. How many of those pushing a “shortage” narrative get this kind of a range wherever they are tweeting from? Maybe it’s time shut up and stop the Dubai bashing.

@Xeon4f145d96s1 As an FY1 on T&O I got fast bleeped by an IMG SHO who was a senior reg in his own country to manage his patient triggering sepsis because he didn't know what to do. Apparently where he qualified he could just right medical review in the notes and someone else would sort it out.

Given sometimes the FY1 still has to hand-hold the IMG JCF I really don’t see an issue.

You’ll see down the line when they’re celebrating their specialty training offers, that the UK grads were prioritized all along. Every year, the only specialties where IMGs make up a sizable proportion of JOBS FILLED were GP& Psych. But they’ll go on about the competition ratio

@jinnieshinnie You are naive to think a doc in any senior role makes a difference. Doctors as CEO still have to deliver more for less, the government decides the budget and DOH the agenda. They have to deliver otherwise they are out and next one in.

Do any other doctors here ever wonder if going into NHS management might be one way to safeguard our profession? Aside of going the clinical director/CMO route, what if a doctor was chief people officer, or COO? How does one even begin to explore this?
