🛁 Bath go for a heavily rotated side for the Big Day Out against Bristol. Understand why they've done it, but still disappointing for a real headline game with a big crowd. Can't imagine Bristol will be very happy with them from a spectacle standpoint.

@PJRose83 @Damian_Roland @EIP_Institute TWI in v4 needs appropriate caution. Nearly always the lead placement is incorrect and on repeat it is upright. Another reason to not do an ECG in the first place unless clinically indicated by Hx/examination. Leads can sometimes be thrown on randomly making it look abnormal too

@Damian_Roland @EIP_Institute There is also the issue with interpretation. ECG’s, particularly in younger children, have normal variants that can be pathology in adults. The number of referrals I get for ‘partial right bundle branch block’ or ‘inverted T waves on V1-4’. Causes anxiety for ED Dr and parents!

We don't swab every child with a sore throat. We don't bleed every child with a fever. We don't send an aspirate on every infant with a snotty nose. Why do we seem to do an ECG on every child with chest pain? [Inspired by discussions @EIP_Institute #EIP2023]
