@ProletariatRis1 @redf0undation The only thing I'll add is that perhaps the USA losing opens up more avenues for organizing within it. That doesn't mean you become a cheerleader for a foreign bourgeoisie though.

@ProletariatRis1 @redf0undation No one is saying it isn't hegemonic or imperialist. The solution for communists is to support the working class, not cheer on one bourgeois state in imperialist war. Your goal is organizing to fight against the bourgeoisie in your own country, nothing else.

Campism is a disease in the communist movement and should’ve died with the Cold War. Instead, it’s been reproduced as a framework that reduces politics to the US or “the West” vs anyone opposed to them. It’s a shallow framework that continues to distort materialist analysis

liberals kept insisting every government decision was an attempt to avoid the imminent holy hellfire and distract from the epstein files just to stay sitting on their ass. shocker, they aren’t carpet bombing Iran because of lazy americans they arent scared of.

The adoption of Thomas Sankara as a "wholesome revolutionary" is so weird and it completely ignores much more important black revolutionaries that made contributions like Frantz Fanon and Kwame Nkrumah, Sankara was at most a social democrat

@sqidaedir lol @ the part about Kim Jung Il. He's a bourgeois leader of what was a bourgeois nation-state. The 20's and 30's were awful and saw many fall to opportunism after national capitalist development in Russia would be later called "socialism". A boon to the bourgeoisie.

Who started the "wholesome chungus sankara" meme that is so ubiquitous among leftists who don't know how to read? I really want to know because I don't really see a logical reason for it tbh.

@TrevorOhio @ItsLulu_7 You are hitting at why and don't know it. I'm referring to only those disillusioned Trump supporters that are conscious enough of their class interests. Also that pic is still subject to wage labor, so they themselves are oppressed by the system.

@DoctorMuuro @ItsLulu_7 According to the Marxist viewpoint, wouldn't the most important thing simply be that they're working class? It should be easier (though of course not necessarily easy) to instill class consciousness in a worker than to get a PMC liberal to go against their class interest.

@xXMaddiMaladyXx @AnonLefttwt Deformed workers state isn't critical enough of the situation of calling capitalism socialism as it still seems the state as a workers state and not a bourgeois state.

@xXMaddiMaladyXx @AnonLefttwt He literally saw the future of the Soviet state as needing to develop capitalism, and envisioned state capitalism as an intermediate period to develop those relations while waiting for international revolution.

@TrevorOhio @ItsLulu_7 It depends on what the disillusionment is about. If it's about actual class issues like how some moved to him because of no labor centered politics, then sure. But if they aren't at least social democratic leaning, then it would be a huge mistake.

@DoctorMuuro @ItsLulu_7 True, it would clearly be a huge mistake to allow itself to become a movement for Trumpism without Trump. But I don't think there is much danger of that. The biggest influx of ex-Trump voters will probably come from disillusionment with this war, which is exactly as it should be.

@DoctorMuuro @ItsLulu_7 This is why it may make sense to court disillusioned Trump voters as the ACP is doing. That has its own risks, but at least they won't be so easily absorbed into the Democratic Party blob.
