Two pandemics clash, Covid19 and Metabolic syndrome. The idea is not to just manage metabolic syndrome our goal should be to revert it and only three things have proven to do so, LCHF, Intermittent Fasting and Weight Loss Surgery, now more than ever is WLS is a medical necessity.

The TRIAD study, with over 8000pts with 8y FUp, showed that the use of insulin is a cause of CV events and mortality in pts with T2D. Over 20 studies on Bariatric/metabolic surgery showed decrease in CV events and mortality. Surgery needs to go earlier in T2D Tx algorithm
