It actually feels like DUNE. And even with some of the story changes, Herbert really enjoyed it. His three biggest gripes with the theatrical cut were : 1. Not showing Thufirs death. 2. The rain scene at the end. 3. He wasn’t fond of some of the designs, but others he genuinely loved, actually more than he had originally pictured, and he wanted those favorites printed and hung as artwork in his home.
