80 years. Particularly poignant this year, after losing great aunt ‘Big Bozena’ (ironically barely 5ft tall), the last of our Polish family who survived the war and could recount the horror inflicted by so much hate. In their memories we will #NeverForget

In a historic step in medical research, Rwanda today started the world's first clinical trial for Marburg virus disease treatment in partnership with @WHO.
The trial involves testing the safety & efficacy of Remdesivir, a drug against viruses already used to treat COVID-19, & MBP091, a special antibody designed to fight Marburg virus.
The trial is the result of two years’ work by nearly 200 researchers, developers, ministry of health officials & partners globally & from 17 African countries at risk of outbreaks of filoviruses such as Ebola and Marburg.
