Sometimes I just like to keep my camera off to give my eyes a break. My eye doc recommended it b/c my eyes are so strained and tired.
I can also focus on what people are saying better.

Why is the camera on such a big deal? It bugs me. In the old normal if we had a migraine, sniffles, or the flu/COVID we called in sick. Now we mostly are well enough to attend our meetings and think/write emails from home while not feeling 💯 and we leave our cameras off. 1/

@worldofabe @AmandaBernardo He attacked me publicly and even worse in DMs many years ago. I was shocked given we had a good professional relationship previously. I let it go because I knew that it was unlikely anything would be done about it. Sigh.

@AmandaBernardo Yeah it's disappointing to see it repeat. Clearly there's something wrong with this person and he needs help. Unfortunate that he hasn't gotten the help he needs to date and so we definitely need to speak up about this. I'm planning to contact CRA senior management as a start.

Over the weekend, a former ADM at CRA attacked me publicly on Twitter. There's a history here as a few years ago he attacked me publicly and in a tirade via DM. At the time, I reported his actions to CRA management. Sharing in case anyone follows him. Feel free to report & block.
