They are saying out there that Ordinals are dead. That reaction is familiar. Whenever something escapes the comfortable standard, the first instinct is to bury it instead of understanding it. Ordinals are not better than NFTs because of hype or narrative. They are better by architecture. NFTs live supported by external layers. They depend on specific blockchains, foundations, teams, websites, indexers, marketplaces, gateways and servers. When any of those pieces fail, the NFT still exists only as an idea. In practice, what remains is an identifier pointing to something that is no longer there. Ordinals do not point to anything external. They are the object itself. By individualizing a satoshi and inscribing art, history, code or cultural identity into it, you are not creating a token or a representative asset. You are using the smallest unit of Bitcoin directly as a permanent medium. That inscription exists at the same level as BTC itself, protected by the same rules and the same security. And this is where the real choice becomes clear. If I am going to store something that truly matters in the long term, I choose Bitcoin L1. I choose to inherit the security of the most battle tested Proof of Work in history. I choose a network that does not go offline, does not depend on a foundation, does not change rules due to social pressure and does not rely on narratives to survive. Ordinals inherit all of that. The spam label always appears when someone tries to impose moral limits on a system designed to be neutral. Bitcoin was not created to decide what is art, what has cultural value or what deserves to exist. It validates rules, validates blocks and moves forward. And that neutrality is exactly what makes Ordinals inevitable. There is no safer place to preserve digital art than inside the most resilient monetary system ever created. There is no historical archive harder to erase than one written directly into the Bitcoin base layer. There is no community better protected from time than one that chooses to exist where the network itself has already proven its survival. They can keep saying Ordinals are over. Blocks keep being produced. Satoshis keep being mined. And history keeps being written, directly in a place no one can shut down. Ordinals do not need to convince anyone. They only need to exist in the next block.
