Boy, has former Green Beret Joe Kent turned into a gigantic disappointment. nypost.com/2026/03/17/us-… Early this morning, I learned that Kent has resigned from his job as head of America’s National Counterterrorism Center. The reason Kent gives is his opposition to President Trump’s military strikes against Iran. I supported Kent’s two unsuccessful runs for Congress, losing to Marie Perez. He would have been MY member of Congress in Washington’s 3rd district, so I voted for him twice. When he got the job heading up Counter Terrorism, I figured he was a perfect fit. Now, consider what Joe Kent just posted on social media in his resignation letter to President Trump: “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.” Excuse me! Iran has been planet Earth’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism for 50 years. They’ve pursued nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. They’ve funded terrorists like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis that have killed Americans. Even if they never got the technology to deliver a nuke to the U.S., any nuclear-armed Iran would threaten to set off an exchange that could bring in the whole world. Not only that, but Joe Kent decides to resign right after three Islam and Iran-related domestic terrorist attacks on American soil in Texas, Michigan, and at Old Dominion University. And he’s resigned the Counterterrorism role even as the Democrat Party continues its Jihad against funding Homeland Security. Come to think of it, maybe we’re better off WITHOUT Joe in that job.

I'm officially coming out as a Libertarian and leaving the Conservatives - you're no longer my people, and maybe you never were. Here's where we differ: 1. Idc if John and Larry get married. If it's wrong then God will sort it out. I don't believe it's my job to judge them. In fact, some of the most lovely people I know are LGB. 2. I don't believe women are nothing but baby factories, and I'm ambivalent on whether women want a lot of kids or don't - I support them either way. 3. I don't believe there is anything wrong with a woman showing off her beauty or curves. 4. Essentially, I don't believe it's my job to be the morality police when people are harming no one else. This is what I believe in: 1. Men do not belong in women's sports. There are real biological differences, and when it's a contact sport women are hurt badly by these men in dresses. 2. T is a mental illness that society is enabling because our leaders are trying hard to weaken masculinity and throw society into disarray, so they can subjugate the global populations easier. 3. I believe children need mothers and fathers equally and the family unit should be preserved and not demonized; however, I don't believe it's for every person, and I'm in favor of choice. 4. I don't believe in abortion bc that baby is an entirely separate being with an entirely separate DNA, and it is no one's right to kill. 5. I believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Limited government with the most freedom possible is the way. 6. Children are sacred and should be protected from oversexualization at all costs. 7. A moral society has an imperative to help the sick, disabled, elderly and young who cannot protect and care for themselves. 8. Pronouns are stupid and I'm not using any special ones for you. No one has the right to regulate my words. 9. Femininity is grand and masculinity is lovely, but there is no one size fits all and we need to stop shoving people into little boxes. 10. Our leaders have their own nefarious agenda and it stopped being about helping us a long time ago. 11. I believe color is the least important attribute about someone as all immutable traits are. Merit should be our only barometer when hiring or elevating people in the work force. 12. People can be lovely when they're heavy, but lets stop pretending that being morbidly obese is beautiful or healthy, bc it's not. I can speak on this as a former fat girl. Obesity comes with a myriad of health problems that can be avoided and it strains society. 13. I believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. I fail in my walk with God daily, but I just try to be a tiny bit better the next day. 14. I believe Black Pill Doomers are just as dangerous as the Far Left. Opposite sides of the same coin. One abuses women and the other abuses children. Your brand of abuse isn't better. 15. Men and women are different and there are things uniquely suited for one or the other. Sitting in my local watering hole a few days ago, struck up a conversation with the guy next to me, a British fellow who emigrated to the US in 2002. After a few minutes of chatting about the usual local traffic and weather topics, the conversation turned to politics after a flash on the TV about the polls. He noticed my Gadsden Flag t-shirt and commented that he and I probably had diametrically opposed political views. He was polite and respectful, a pleasant change from the typical local communist with pink hair here in the Pacific Northwest. He asked me how I survived here in the PNW considering all the "crazies" on the left, so I could tell I was dealing with a liberal, but a sane one. All good, love a good political conversation that doesn't turn to name calling. He told me he voted for Biden in 2020, which was the first US election he ever voted in after becoming a citizen in 2018. He told me that Biden "was a complete mentally deficient imbecile" but he felt compelled to vote for him, because he was voting against Trump. He went on to add that the American Democrat was a full blown communist party at this point, not the party of JFK that he grew up on, and Biden is quickly destroying the country. I asked him if he would vote for Biden again in 2024, and he told me "not a chance," but could never vote for Trump. He told me that if Trump and Biden are the nominees, he would just not vote. But then he added, if DeSantis was the GOP nominee, he would absolutely vote for him because he is a "true leader" and his record in Florida, especially around leadership during Covid, is unimpeachable. There are a lot more people like this voter in America than MAGA cares to admit.
