Tony Blair has urged scrapping the ‘unaffordable’ pensions triple lock that protects millions of pensioners, his own think tank claims the system is outdated and too rigid for modern life with costs exploding by £85 billion a year by 2070, the former PM’s report demands it ends after the next election and be replaced by a new ‘lifespan fund’ that forces people to build their own entitlement through work, Blair’s director Tom Smith said Britain’s state pension was built for a different era and we can’t keep pouring money into a system that is increasingly unaffordable, pensioners facing rising bills are now told to accept less while the multi-millionaire ex-leader lectures them on restraint, Thoughts?

Myleene Klass turned up for her Classic FM shift yesterday morning carrying her new foster kitten Shimi McLovin in a transparent breathable cat carrier, the 48-year-old stroled along and the tiny white cat just stared blankly out like it was being taken hostage, she’s fostering him for Wood Green Pets Charity and apparently decided a busy central London radio studio was the perfect place for it, the whole scene looked weird... Thoughts?

@LeeAndersonMP_ Surely, can not be right? It is absolutely appalling if this is how it works out. But then are we surprised? You have to feel sorry for the working people and everyone else who has tried to help themselves.

Just throwing this one out there as I was asked this question earlier today. A couple both working with a combined income of £50,000 would pay £11,500 a year in income tax and national insurance, Another couple receiving £50,000 in benefits including Universal Credit, Personal Independent Payment, Housing Benefit, Income Support and Child Benefit would pay no income tax or national insurance, keeping the full £50,000. Should the non-working couple on £50,000 a year pay the same amount of income tax and national insurance as the working couple? Please leave a comment below.

I've spoken to a Doctor. The individual would likely suffer some mild bruising to their foot but largely protected by their footwear. They will make a full recovery. Treatment should be praise, thanks, and a few beers.

I live in a country where a man randomly stabs two people and people are more annoyed that the police kicked him after he did so In a proper country he is eliminated there and then 👍

The RSPCA is looking for a man after a ginger cat was found taped inside a pet carrier, wrapped in a bin bag, and thrown over a fence into a garden in Basildon, Essex. The three-year-old cat was taken to a vet, where it was found to have no injuries but was clearly stressed. A CCTV image of the man, described as white and wearing glasses, a dark jacket, and a light blue T-shirt, has been released as investigators appeal for witnesses.
