@KyleCrabbs Do you think it is simply that they are planning on extending Achane and are unsure on Brooks?

@KyleCrabbs I was wondering the exact same thing ! My guess is they will extend him first cause its the " easiest" extension with all pro Devin Lloyd only getting 3/45. But it serms weird to do Achane. There must be something up.

@Jason_OTC That is HISTORIC!! 60,5% dead cap and i have the feeling after June1st they could still trade Sieler and make it even bigger. WOW

@flasportsbuzz I really wonder why they did Achane and not Brooks. My wild guess is that Brooks will be the first to get an extension cause his LB market was very dry ( fellow all pro Devin Lloyd only got 3yrs/45m ) and it could be the easiest extension

The mystery of how the Dolphins created cap space to execute the Waddle trade has been solved. Per source, the Dolphins simultaneously executed simple cap restructures with Brewer and Achane. The moves have no impact on the Dolphins' ability to extend them long-term. The Dolphins currently have $2 M in cap space. (A lot more will arrive June 2, with Chubb previously designated as a post-June 1 cut.) Now their focus turns to the draft; the Dolphins have 11 picks -- including 7 of the top 94.

@spotrac Thx for the answer , must have been max salary conversions of Brooks and Brewer. No other contract to touch really.

@Dolphini2 They've obviously made a move or two behind the scenes that hasn't been made public yet. But this is where things sit at the moment.

Despite notable subtractions this offseason, the #Dolphins currently sit about $7.6M over their adjusted 2026 salary cap with the trade of WR Jaylen Waddle now official. More work to be done in Miami. spotrac.com/nfl/cap

Bradley Pinion to the Dolphins. Sully and Haf weren’t lying about competition at every position. Now just need another LS to compete with Tucker Addington.
Mike Garafolo@MikeGarafolo

The #Dolphins have agreed to terms with veteran punter/kickoff specialist Bradley Pinion, per The Insiders. The two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee heads to Miami on a deal done by his agent @KyleStrongin of @RangeSportsRMP.

@MikeGarafolo Unfortunately Pro Day measurements are useless because the Combine is the only standardized measurement that is comparable across all players.

Utah OL Spencer Fano’s arms measured 32 7/8 just now at his pro day, up from 32 1/8 at the Combine. Another indication that, for whatever reason, the measurements in Indy were short for a number of prospects. That’s a big 3/4 inch difference for Fano.

The Dolphins found a way to be cap compliant at end of business day yesterday after Waddle dead cap hit (which overthecap says put them $8.5 M over). It did not involve cutting any player and did not involve changing post-June 1 designation on Chubb, whose status remains same. Cap savings on Chubb won't be felt until June 2. On that day, Miami should have $20 M in space to sign draft class and do other things.

@KyleCrabbs @AtoZSportsNFL Would you prefer a rookie WR like Omar Cooper, Concepcion , Brazzel , Boston, Bell or trade either 30 or 43 for Brian Thomas jr. ?

Our first looks at CJ Allen working out for NFL HCs, GMs, coaches and scouts. A LOT of eyes on the #UGA LB.

@PoupartNFL Thats a major problem for the Dolphins fanbase...overvaluing and glorifying their own players. Waddle was good not great. For a 6th overall pick you NEED great.

Uh no, Waddle was relegated to WR2 in his SECOND year, not immediately. If you think Waddle is in the same class as Hill, then I'm wasting my time here ...
ol’ jasper@KrunchieKrew

@PoupartNFL you pick a WR a 6… and then immediately relegate him to WR2 and feed the WR1 with the most targets in the league BUT waddle is still supposed to be more? sorry, that’s silly. respectfully, very silly.

Regarding the Wednesday report that Jon-Eric Sullivan has told teams that De'Von Achane is not available via trade, this would mark a change from what he said at the combine: "There are players that we see as building blocks as we move down the road. My job as the general manager is if the phone rings, I have to listen. Any player is tradeable at a certain price, but there are certain guys that we definitely want to be part of the long-term future that are on this roster currently that we think are the right kind of guys.”
