@donk1971 Fair enough .I'd say the position of the parent following on the road makes far safer outcome than one on the road one on pavement. I'd say all road users can be unpredictable, but that's why the highway code has a hierarchy

This is horrific! What sane person sends their 5 year old child slap bang down the middle of a busy road. FIVE! In fact I’m not horrified, I’m angry! Pure negligence in my view ..

@donk1971 Got to disagree with you here Matt . Read the reply from the local police department. Read the Highway code in regards to hierarchy of road use. Cars don't own the road. He's avoiding parked cars.why shouldn't he be on the road he's a competent young rider? What age should he be?
