The real interesting point for me is why the 46% with shock didn't get an Echo... Unsurprisingly, things took longer OOH BUT 58% got a critical care team scan. This is actually lower than I would have predicted. #echofirst #POCUS

@DominicFudge1 @hdavidrosen We have for decades typically used in patients where we are cautious giving morphine as an example. Truth is Nobody tends to measure continuous BP while giving penthrox so we don’t have great data to rely on

I thought this was a joke but apparently methoxyflurane inhalers are very much in use. What's next? Chloroform-soaked rags?

@hdavidrosen Hi David We have been using penthrox in australia for more than 30 years It provides equity of access to analgesia for many patients who suffer unnecessarily in your jurisdiction because there are heavy restrictions on access to and use of opioid analgesia prehospital
