Seriously, what is the point of this signage other than to create division, with the next bilingual Sign nearly 5 miles away, what actually is the point of it ....

@GAWA201 @News_Letter Hated by you mate. You're consumed by it. Celtic Rangers is a farce. 2 sides of same coin. Wake up and notice your fans wearing balaclavas. Trouble seeking louts.

Brian Feeney’s weekly sectarian rant spread across the pages of the Irish News is probably best ignored. It is nothing more than the hateful musings of a bitter old man. Purposefully degrading and intentionally inflammatory. Designed to gaslight to generate clicks. Rage bait. No-one’s listening or reacting except for the very people he seeks to demonise. Deny him a response and allow him to spew his hate into a void of irrelevance.

@GM1872_ Its a two club problem. 2 sides of the same coin. Which set of supporters invaded the pitch wearing balaclavas?

Don’t let anyone tell you it’s a two club problem. It’s not. It is an insanely stupid false equivalence that is a comfort blanket for tims and tims in the media as well as an easy out for smaller clubs’ fans to have a dig. It is a tim problem. Nothing more. Don’t be daft.

@JamieBrysonLLB Luckily all those innocent Rangers fans had balaclavas with them to hide their identities. Well prepared fans. 🤣 Celtic Rangers are 2 sides of the same coin.

The behaviour of Celtic fans has been tolerated for far too long by the football authorities & Scottish police. They are unable to behave in a civilised manner, and once again today demonstrated that. They shouldn’t have been let anywhere near Ibrox, and should never be again.

@Choyaa13 I agree and the NW gets plenty of investment. They need to get rid of this victim mentality.

@cahillbooks I'd fully expect her to. She is a decent human being. The Auras will be welcoming to unionism as it always has been. Never reciprocated though.

@rtenews Tragedy. On a related matter, Ireland relies on the UK for its air cover and a lot of navy coverage. It doesn't even have anti-drone technology to protect the EU Presidency meetings ahead of us. Its clear Ireland would rather spend billions on IPAS centres than defence.

@thejournal_ie I remember interviewing him many many years ago when I started out in BBC Radio Foyle. He'd talk about 'Derry' before the interview and then turned to use 'Londonderry' when the camera rolled.

Saying NI is part of the UK isn’t antagonism, it’s reality. The backlash and negative press against Campbell for that shows how skewed the narrative is. Especially when Unionism showed hospitality, even Campbell. Usual republican pile on.
Chris Donnelly@chrisadonnelly

Suzanne Breen making the right point. The contrast between Michelle O’Neill’s generous attitude to British Royals & that of the DUP to President Connolly is indicative of where we are headed. Unionism’s antagonistic approach will bring forward the inevitable moment of crisis.

@SJAMcBride Hi Sam, its now 2026 and loyalist paramilitaries are still at it. Whilst I am no supporter of the IRA I do feel bemused at local medias obssesion with a group who are no longer yet ignore the groups still active.

@JonBurrowsMLA Look into motability also. Someone I know got a motability car as their daughter is downsyndrome. They said it was to take her to school. Now a taxi arrives every morning to take her to school. The Mum is a full time paid carer. 2 top of the range cars. The system is messed up.

I’ve been scrutinising the spend on taxis by the Education Authority on home to school transport. Of the £40 million spend per annum, £20 million was paid to 5 taxi operators in the last year. I’ve today submitted an urgent question asking which 5 companies.

The UUP need to move to put Jon Burrows in place as leader. Unionism collectively needs strength not weakness, and Burrows’ combatative approach will be far better for unionism rather than yet more weakness & pandering.
