@DireReport @piersmorgan I suppose we will start hearing how some people were prematurely anti- genocide. Israel dropped 6000 bombs in the first week, so the pattern was clear early on.

@piersmorgan I’d argue Piers actually, as a convert from the pro-Israel side to the “oh wow, this is Genocide” side, has a lot more moral credibility to fence sitters than the ardent pro-Palestine activists.

I completely agree with you! My husband and I watched the debate going in to it on Dave Smith's side, but Douglas Murray made us take a step back. I didnt find Murray to be smug, but exasperated. And the criticisms he made are valid and something I wish more would call out about these comedians. I would love if Joe Rogan had Murray on to explain the conflict from his perspective and what he has seen. I like both sides so that I can decide, but this pettiness coming from Dave Smith, Tucker, Candace… it is actually sickening. Like Douglas Murray ruined his career… really?! 🤣 I think those of us who are level-headed left that debate being impressed with him and wanting more.

Now that Hassan Esliah — the most famous journalist in Gaza — has been killed in an Israeli airstrike at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, I feel compelled to share what I’ve learned after years of observing him and others in Gaza’s media scene. Esliah wasn’t just a journalist with a camera. He was a fixture on the front lines, always there when rockets were fired, when terrorists launched incendiary-laden balloons towards Israel and, of course, the October 7 massacre. What struck me most over the years wasn’t just his proximity to the action, it was the consistency with which he appeared at scenes that seemed orchestrated, not stumbled upon. He moved with a kind of access that ordinary journalists did not have. He wasn’t guessing where the story was. He knew. It was back in 2018 when I realized that Esliah was more than just a journalist. Hamas was increasingly relying on members of the press in Gaza to document acts of violence carried out by its operatives near the border with Israel. But there was a catch, these events had to appear as spontaneous popular unrest, not as coordinated actions by terrorist groups. The media’s role wasn’t just to report the story; it was to shape the narrative that Hamas wanted. Thus, Esliah and other journalists routinely accompanied terrorists and documented their acts to publish online for Israel to see. This was an orchestrated propaganda campaign by terrorist groups and Esliah was heavily involved. With Esliah's death, many will remember him as a journalist who died in a war zone. But those of us who’ve paid attention know that his story and that of other journalists in Gaza is far more complicated. Keep tabs on my posts. In the near future, I will publish interesting information about the dual roles some people play in Gaza and their connection to terrorist groups.

The more this goes on, the more ashamed I am that I once supported Donald Trump. This man is shamelessly compromising American values and long-term security just to pocket a bunch of dollars. Watching him stand alongside the very regime that enabled Edan’s captivity is beyond disgraceful.

Edan's family confirms: Edan will fly to Qatar, where he will meet with President Trump and the Emir of Qatar There are no words to express how disgusting this is. Qatar is the regime which enabled Eden’s captors and torturers to take him and hold him for 19 months. Shame on anyone condoning this absolutely disgraceful act. The last thing this poor boy needs is to be paraded around the Islamist dictatorship of Qatar like some trophy of Donald Trump. Vile.

The Qataris are funders and supporters of Hamas. Their malevolent impact on College campuses is behind the encampments, genocidal chants, and anti-Israel endowed departments. AG Pam Bondi was a registered foreign agent working on behalf of Qatar in 2019. FBI director Kash Patel was on their payroll to the tune of millions as well. Envoy Steve Witkoff, who is negotiating on behalf of the US with Hamas and Iran, has been in business with the Qataris as well. Sure. This is all normal. Nothing to see here.

It’s strange that every random ethnic religious group on earth is somehow entitled to a nation-state devoted to their faith, tradition, and language…except for American Christians. This nation was explicitly settled by Protestants fleeing religious persecution for the purpose of establishing a free nation where the laws were explicitly written to protect their cultural and religious heritage. And yet today, we are told that of all the groups of people on earth, we alone are forbidden from having a nation that exists to protect us and our heritage. If that weren’t insane enough, we are also told we must shed blood to protect the borders, traditions, and faiths of other nations, but to do so here, in our country, would be abominable. No other nation is required to admit me as a citizen, or to cater to my culture or language over its own. My country alone, however, is required to admit all peoples—no matter how incompatible they are with our laws and language and culture—and I am required to adapt to their demands and ways of life. This is insane, and I’m tired of pretending otherwise.

In the case of Rumesya Ozturk it does appear to be a viewpoint issue. I haven’t seen anything from the state beyond Rubio’s comment to suggest otherwise.

Haaretz explains why Israel murdered 15 members of this boy’s family: it was an attempt to assassinate his father—an employee of Gaza’s Finance Ministry. The boy was thrown by the force of the blast onto the roof of a neighboring building. Footage of the aftermath—graphic and horrifying—circulated widely. Among the dead were his sisters; one of their bodies was found completely severed.
jasper nathaniel@infinite_jaz

The IDF strike that launched this boy onto a roof and killed 15 relatives was targeting his father, a Gaza Finance Ministry employee, who’d been detained early in the war and freed just 2 months ago in the hostage swap. Part of a campaign to wipe out Gaza’s civil leadership.
