There are more people at the pro Palestine march than the far right racists march. The pro Palestine march is peaceful

@stephenjones9 You know who sponsors the two Euro cups. A Saffa bank. They go the money decreases. URC now second only to top 14. You still think rugby should be an amateur game

So SA teams may leave the two Euro rugby events as Sunday Times predicted in February. They should never have been invited in the first place and have added nothing. Let's hope they dump the URC too, the event sorely needs more focus and less bonkers travel.

You can clearly see that English rugby journalists are jealous of the URC becoming a bigger league than the one where Bristol Bears concede 90 points on a Friday night Let the bitterness out

@thepaulwilliams Viewership up and way more money in the system. URC now a very good product. People need to look forward not back.

I know I'm the only person in Wales who seems to like having the South African teams playing up here. But to watch Cardiff against the Stormers was incredible. As a long time Super Rugby lover, to see those players in the URC is awesome.

SA Rugby are considering leaving Sanzaar About time. Should have partnered with European rugby at all levels when rugby went pro back in the 1990's

BREAKING NEWS: Starmer’s amazing speech Sir Keir Starmer smashed it out of the park today with a barnstorming speech which astonished critics and colleagues alike. Speaking without notes and cheered on by his cabinet colleagues he gave a passionate defence of Labour’s record. Even the hard- nosed press corps assembled in Downing Street burst into spontaneous applause at the end. Meanwhile cheering crowds poured onto the streets of Red Wall constituencies waving union jacks pledging support for the PM. Just kidding of course. Th reality? Starmer’s speech was the same old reheated, vapid drivel we’ve heard a hundred times before, delivered with his usual lack of charisma and with contents about as inviting as a week old litter tray.

@Keir_Starmer Thanks for staying. Massive help to other parties. You keep that focus on giving away more free stuff and ignore the boats and growth. Keep it up.

Nigel Farage should not survive the undeclared £5Million donation. It’s a step up from a new pair of glasses, don’t you think? Is Farage owned?

Nigel Farage plays the victim once again over the undisclosed £5m ‘gift’ by crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne. If there is nothing to hide why is he bothered that it has been released and why take legal advice to avoid declaring it? #localelections #election2026

Grew up in coal country. Never thought I’d see any party but Labour in power round here. We were told it was permanent. In my lifetime they delivered what, exactly? They tried to overturn our Brexit vote. Promised change, then made sure working families had less spare change than ever. Labour isn’t the party of the working class anymore. It’s the party of the lanyard class — the consultants, the bureaucrats, the people who’ve never lifted anything heavier than a clipboard. I don’t regret their collapse one bit. A failed project that forgot who it was meant to serve. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard for today’s result. This is what real change looks like.

Reform UK were rejected by more than 70% of voters yesterday, and the media is treating the result as terminal for Labour while almost entirely ignoring the fact that most people said no to the hatred, the division and the bigotry. That is the actual story.

Zack Polanski says “the new politics is Green vs Reform”. Bring it on. On one side: legalising all drugs, prostitution, open borders, Islamist sectarianism, terrorist sympathisers, & antisemitism. On the other: the decent majority of British people. Let’s go.

@rugbyontnt Bring in Georgia Black Lions. Grow the game. Then merge it with Prem. Imagine the viewership for that comp. More global. Then change Chamipons to top 4 France and top 4 combined URC.

Ealing Trailfinders are in advanced talks with the United Rugby Championship about joining the competition, according to RugbyPass 🏉👀 The West London club have been previously denied promotion to the Gallagher PREM because their Vallis Way base doesn’t meet the RFU’s minimum standards. The Trailfinders have dominated Champ Rugby since 2022 and are favourites to lift their fourth title in five years 🏆
