Thank a Soldier Initiative (TASI)🇳🇬❤️
We are not doing that for now, this account is basically created to appreciate the sacrifices of our gallant security agencies facing danger for us to live. We are also soliciting for peace building and reconciliation for national unity for a progressive Nigeria that will be free from violent extremism and insecurity. However, we'll soon start a campaign and sensitisation programme for Nigerians to always support and not criticise our armed forces. But if there will be need for crowdfunding in the future, we will communicate it here. We're currently working on getting approvals from the relevant agencies and military formation to carry on with these campaign. Thank you and God bless you God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Together we are stronger

Thank a Soldier Initiative (TASI)🇳🇬❤️
A Tribute to Lieutenant FA Isaac Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, Today, we gather with heavy hearts yet with profound gratitude to honour the memory of a true patriot, Lieutenant FA Isaac—a courageous officer who paid the supreme price during the rescue attempt of the abducted Oyo school children. There are moments in history when the courage of a single individual becomes a beacon of hope for an entire nation. Lieutenant FA Isaac stood in such a moment. When innocent lives were threatened, he did not hesitate. He answered the call of duty with unwavering resolve, placing the safety of others above his own. In doing so, he embodied the highest ideals of military service: courage, selflessness, honour, and sacrifice. The greatest measure of a soldier is not found in words but in actions. Lieutenant Isaac chose the difficult path—the path where duty outweighed comfort, where service outweighed personal safety, and where love for country outweighed fear. His sacrifice reminds us that the peace we enjoy and the freedom we cherish often come at an immeasurable cost borne by brave men and women in uniform. While families rejoiced over the rescue of innocent children, another family was plunged into unimaginable grief. Behind every fallen hero is a mother who lost a son, a father who lost a child, siblings who lost a brother, friends who lost a companion, and comrades who lost a trusted colleague. As a nation, we share in their sorrow and stand with them in gratitude for the priceless gift Lieutenant Isaac gave to Nigeria. To his family, no words can truly heal the pain of your loss. Yet, may you find comfort in knowing that his life was not lived in vain. He died protecting the vulnerable, defending the helpless, and fulfilling the sacred oath he swore to uphold. His name will forever be associated with courage, honour, and unwavering devotion to duty. To his fellow soldiers, let his life inspire continued resilience. Let his sacrifice strengthen your resolve to defend our nation with professionalism and integrity. Though he has fallen, his spirit marches with every soldier who wears the uniform in service to Nigeria. To every Nigerian, let us remember that our heroes deserve more than our applause; they deserve our respect, our prayers, our support for their families, and our commitment to building the peaceful and united nation for which they sacrificed so much. Lieutenant FA Isaac may no longer walk among us, but heroes never truly die. They live on in the values they upheld, the lives they saved, and the nation they served with unwavering loyalty. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of Nigerians to choose courage over fear, duty over comfort, and service over self. May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the soul of Lieutenant FA Isaac, comfort his loved ones, strengthen his brothers and sisters in arms, and bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria with lasting peace. Rest in honour, Lieutenant FA Isaac. Your duty is complete. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Your legacy will endure forever. @3Star_GOD @optama @alouibrahim92 @jassjegs @GallantDaletian @MODNigeria @mobilisingniger @HQNigerianArmy @NDefenceAcademy @DHQNigeria

Tonight, our nation has reason to give thanks. The children and teachers abducted by Ansaru terrorists in Oyo State have been rescued by our security forces, alive and unharmed. No ransom was paid. No concession was made. I salute every officer and operative whose courage, discipline, and professionalism made this possible. To those who seek to spread fear through terror, know that the Nigerian state will pursue you relentlessly. We will protect our people, defend our communities, and never relent until peace and security prevail across our country. Shared table with 4 SANs at a lawyers' event today - Abdul Mohammed, SAN - Abdul Atadoga Ibrahim, SAN - Mustapha Shuaib Agbarere, SAN - Philomenon Yakubu, SAN and for the first time in my life, I felt like being a lawyer. Their strictness with protocols (subtly correcting the event handlers about protocols - lawyers are big on protocols). And the excellent delivery by Mr Mohammed (standing). My head just dey swell. Such a noble profession.

The day I heard about he and a private's death, I was pained to my bone marrow, I couldn't hold my tears, the Nigeria Army did not back down, the ONSA and the President did not back down, this rescue is for this senior officer and the soldier that was killed.

Lagos is flooding again. We have UNILAG, LASU, Pan-Atlantic University, thousands of engineering students, and hundreds of PhDs. Where are the practical engineering solutions? What exactly is the purpose of an engineering degree if our biggest engineering problems remain unsolved? Are our universities producing problem-solvers or just issuing certificates?

Just reading about a former student leader of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) called Humble TJ, who lost his life in a road accident during one of the student aluta in 2012 and is still widely remembered in the school till today. Almost every Nigerian higher institution has one former student leader - late or still living - that they "idolize" years - even decades - after their studentship. For us in OAU, we have a number of them, but George Yemi Iwilade was the most popular. Iwilade was murd^red in July 1999 by c^ltists from other schools for being part of the Ife student leaders that resisted cultism in OAU. Five students lost their lives in that incident, including Evans Ekelemu (?). They are all remembered annually in OAU till today. Some did not lose their lives to earn that immortality status. In OAU, Lanre Legacy and a few others are still revered and referenced decades after leaving the school. Does your school have such student leaders? Who are they? What's their story?
