For the money I think it would take to get Bergvall from Spurs (circa £60m), I’d much rather shop elsewhere. Would be a 6.5/10 signing, we can do much better. However, I promise our recruitment team are indeed working on MULTIPLE deals right now. #nufc

@jordancronin_ THIS is an important message to register. We need to recognise where we are currently, to recalibrate expectations. Our time will come, but it will take a lot of time and work.

Newcastle hoped to get Johan Manzambi over the line but suspected this would happen. After the Victor Munoz stuff, #NUFC really could have done with this one going in their favour. The sad reality is, they just aren’t that much of an attractive destination currently.

@Ivu31182132518 I actually agree. We can be pissed off with #avfc, but they have done it the right way. They are us last summer but with a DoF and a progressive set up.

It’s literally the food chain. We are trying to sign one of europes most exciting youngsters without champions league football or an elite coach. Villa have both. We should carry on doing deals like Toure who are less known and lower level to players like manzambi. #nufc

Okay so at least that’s clarity on Manzambi. To clarify before the swarm of toxicity arrives on here, #nufc did everything they could, they had agreed fee and personal terms, but player was holding out for Villa. Club felt cautious since Thursday as weren’t directly informed (1)
