@AnnaRMatson Oh and also! I took the Hypnobabies self study course (100% worth it) and they instruct you not to engage in conversation with anyone who doesn't support your goal of giving birth medication free. I took that very seriously. Made sense. All 3 born med free thru hypnosis!

I joined a pregnancy group less than 24 hours ago and I’m already over it. Moms are stressing themselves out about every little thing and then it stresses other moms out. I’ve been chilling this pregnant. Baby girl has been moving around, my weight is under control, and I’m taking care of myself. God will do the rest 🙏

@AnnaRMatson My dghtr had a rare allergy called FPIES when she was 10 m old-I joined a FPIES FB group of moms. It was vexing to my spirit, sad story after sad story, feeding tubes, regressing. I left. Healed my girl and I know I cdnt have done that if I'd still been in that "support" group.

@MountainMcRae @_parasocial @DrNeilStone I'm glad you support reporting adverse events. My nepphew had a grand mal seizure right after his first MMR and his doctor didn't think it was necessary to report. Do you know how often that happens? Refusal to report? Quite frequently. At the very least, there is more to know.

@_parasocial @DotCosmo @DrNeilStone Oh, definitely. Especially when it’s an immune response reaction, it needs ta be investigated coz that’s how we learn about rare adverse events. I have an auntie who’s one a the reasons there’s a black box warnin on Neverapine—in a handful a cases, it caused a full body rash.

@MountainMcRae @_parasocial @DrNeilStone I only mentioned measles after you did. Measles deaths is one thing...measles incidents are another. If the deaths went down, that's great, but correlation doesn't equal causation if thousands are still getting measles, just not dying.

@DotCosmo @DrNeilStone Yes, measles. It was the third highest rankin cause a childhood deaths in 1900, behind diphtheria & influenza, followed by scarlet fever, pertussis, TB, diarrheal disease, and mumps.

@CrystalFireflie @suellenr01 @IraGilligan You can also sign "not a signature" or "decline". They don't look to see that you spelled your name right.🤷‍♀️Not sure that holds up in court but if there isn't anyone available to discuss your options (cause there aren't options) you did what you had to do.

@suellenr01 @IraGilligan Yeah, but they make you sign using the little electronic pad. You can't write anything. Your signature looks like chicken scratch and gets cut off because half the touch pad is dead. But it's good enough to count.

Does anyone else get asked to sign things at the doctor's office that aren't true? This is the second time. J is getting allergy shots, and the nurse says "I need you to sign this." I read it, and it says "I confirm we are leaving the premises despite being advised against doing so." I say "but we aren't leaving. You just told me we should wait here for 20 minutes, and we are." At the pediatrician: "we need you to sign this Good Faith Estimate. " Me: "I don't see the Estimate." Receptionist: "That is the Good Faith Estimate" Me: "... there is no number. If I sign this, you can charge whatever you want and I have to pay it. That seems contradictory to the purpose of GFE" Receptionist, now annoyed because how dare I read: "do what you want but they won't treat her if you don't sign and you'll pay a cancelation fee" How is this legal?

@suellenr01 @IraGilligan My dad was a lawyer and taught me to do this, too. They bank on me not reading the forms...and likewise, I know they won't read it either so long as I sign. Beat 'em at their own game.😉

@IraGilligan I circle the blank line and write “this was blank at time of signing” with date and time. Then, I would turn and ask the person asking me to sign to also sign. They probably won’t. Then, get their first and last name and write it down with “witness but refused to sign”.

@EvHanson2 My daughter used to be immune compromised w/ a rare allergy and wasn't able to take medicine if she were to get an infection. It was a scary time. We protected her and lived accordingly. Never crossed my mind that others should live their lives according to my kid's constitution.

Hi Chris, I’d like to introduce you a segment of the population who DON’T have a robust immune system because of cancer treatments or treatments for autoimmune illnesses. They are all around you.

@TomjSmith2 I am not sick and haven’t had a cold all winter. No mask. We have immune systems. Use it.

@MountainMcRae @DrNeilStone I know serveral adults, including my parents and my aunts and uncles who all had mumps, too. Again, before the vaccine (they are in their 70's and 80's) and 1 in 5 didn't die. The people I know are just insanely lucky?

@MountainMcRae @DrNeilStone The original post says before vaccine. So, before the measles vaccine, 1 in 5 kids were dying? I literally know more than 5 adults who had measles before the measles vaccine. How were they so lucky to live and avoid any complications?

@MountainMcRae @DrNeilStone pneumonia and tuberculosis I buy, but measles? I doubt it. That's not what history shows was happening before the measles vaccine. Pertussis went through families but breastfed babies were often protected w/specific antibodies against pertussis. I see holes in your claim.

@DotCosmo @DrNeilStone ~60% a those deaths were caused by infectious diseases we now vaccinate for, namely measles, pertussis & diphtheria. Another large proportion was caused by influenza, meningitis, pneumonia & tuberculosis.

@drjasonfung Did "all humans for the last, say, million years" have mineral rich water? Do people today (with bottled, filtered, reverse osmosis) all have mineral rich water?

WTF? If you drink a lot of water, you will pee it out. That's what your kidneys do (speaking as a kidney specialist). I drink plain water (yes, without salt) almost every day of my life, as did virtually all humans for the last, say, million years. No, I am not worried about 'dehydrating' myself by drinking water. 🙄

@ProbablySpamToo @clairvoyant2035 @HustleBitch_ It isn't only about how many minutes it takes. It's also about the bandwidth it takes and the executive functioning to deal with it all and then clean it up when you have 0% in the tank after sleepless nights of nursing kids with flu. I'm guessing you don't have 6 kids.

🚨 “NO COOKING TONIGHT” — MOM TALKS 8 YEAR OLD OUT OF HIS HOMEMADE BIRTHDAY DINNER AND SHOWS UP WITH MCDONALD’S INSTEAD A mom filming her son’s birthday dinner says it’s been a brutal week in their house. She’s a single mom of six, and most of the kids have been sick with the flu. The birthday boy originally asked for homemade sloppy joes with fresh buns. But she says she was exhausted and "talked him out of it," promising she’d make it later in the week. Instead she walked in with bags of McDonald’s counting out nuggets, fries, and cheeseburgers as she plated dinner. Now the video is going viral for all the wrong reasons. Some people say she’s a single mom doing the best she can after a week of sick kids. Others say if a kid asks for one homemade meal on his birthday… you find a way to make it happen. Be honest... are people being too hard on her, or is this exactly what’s wrong with modern parenting?

@HustleBitch_ The time she drove to McDonalds, ordered, and got back home She could have been halfway done making her son sloppy joes for his birthday She's trying to justify to herself on being a lazy parent The one who lost is her son Feel bad for him

@HustleBitch_ Single mom of 6 and the kids had flu. God, give the woman a freaking pass. I'm a married mom of 3 and I've had weeks like that. I am a barely functional zombie during those times, even with support and half the number of children!

@FionaMattatall LOL! My mom trusted her doctor and took Vioxx before they recalled it bec ppl were DYING from it. She also trusted her doctor when he told her to smoke some cigs to treat her pregnancy nausea (common advice at that time.) What were you saying about sabotage?

@SecKennedy I have dreamed of this since I started having kids. I don't think it'll happen before my youngest graduates. I've made homemade lunches for 3 for that last 11 years. I would be so grateful to be able to trust a school a lunch and I'd GLADLY pay $5/kid if I had to!
